I just went on a cruise to Mexico for 4 days and at least 5 times I caught myself thinking about my XB. Years ago I would go on vacation and I would get homesick for my pets or if my son did'nt go with us I would miss him. But this time I could'nt wait to get home to drive my xb. I actually thought about it quit a bit. I had lowered it last sunday and I really did'nt get to drive it around much, because I left the next morning. So I would think about how it handled or the new profile it had taken. I got home today and as soon as I got home I volunteered to go get lunch, drop off a package and drive to a party that my wife and I were to tired to go to. As I'm sitting here typing this I was thinking about tomorrow when I wash it,clean the interior and run any errand that I need to do, not because I have to, but because I love driving this car. I have never had a car that I enjoy this much and i'm 42 years old and have owned a lot of cars. I don't know if this needs to be topic for discussion, I just talking.

I thought there was something wrong with me! Glad to see that this wonderful gift from Scion is bringing happiness to us all. My wife, even my Mom have mentioned that I have never been into a car so much. You just can't explain it, it's sort of like the first time you're in

Hi everyone. My name is Lee and Im a box addict.
I usually get home before my wife does and as she is the one who gets to drive the box to work (I have a company car), I will sit and look out the bay window till she gets home. A tear will come to my eye as she pulls up. The look of that box rolling up the street on those 18s...the entire box blacked out, shiny of course....
Man, obsession isnt a bad thing is it?

Good stories.
Twisted, but fun to read none the less.
The one thing I find on thos board often is, rear ended or someone smashed my xB with something. What is wrong with people?
It's not like it takes up alot of room ina parking space. It's not like we are racing them. Damn car should have peace sign on the back, but yet people still like to mess with it and you as you drive.
Go figure.

Same here. I'm in California right now (SoCal-Long Beach area) and I miss my xB. I see a lot of xB's in SoCal. My xB is in the driveway all alone. Right now I drive a rental 2004 Dodge Neon. No power windows, locks, no inside trunk release, no CD-player. The Neon is about ~130HP but it feels so slow compared tothe xb from start up to 40MPH. Also it is hard for me to check the speedo in the Neon since I have to look down compared to the xB's center cluster.
Oh well. Three more days and I'm back driving my xB. I also checked out MyAutoFashion in Torrance, California. I bought the crystal HVAC knobs. If you happen to be in the area, call them up first to make sure an item is available and they are onsite for pickup.

We just got back from Cali too! And my husbands box is STILL in the body shop....FOURTEEN days now!!!! For a broken window and a scratch!!!
He's NOT the same person right now!! Plus our vanity plates came in the mail yesterday so he's sooooo sad!!! I dont remember him being this worried :nails: when our son was sick! :eyebrow: (esp after putting mine on and knowing he cant use his yet)

Oh, thank God I'm not the only one. I have to take public transportation to work and it KILLS me to walk past the box every morning to goto the bus stop. And as soon as I get off the bus I get right into mine and go for a little drive, even if it's just down to the grocery store for milk. Last weekend I drove around for 8 hours just doing nothing but enjoying this car. I haven't had this much fun in a long time (remember I had a Focus for 5 years).
Ok, I'll admit this only here...I actually named the box...Weaver. 'Cuz he weaves in and out of traffic!
Yes, I'm a dork, but I'm proud of it!

I am Jim and I too am addicted to my box. I never thought I could get this hooked on a vehicle. We took it to Pigeon Forge and Gattlinburg this past weekend. Wife kept threatening to get a sign for it saying,"Take a picture, it will last longer". She felt funny with so many people looking and pointing at my RS 2.0. But she was a trooper and answered questions about it when asked. Don't know if I will be able to part with it when my son starts driving next year.

I'm still the same way after a year and 15,00 miles, everytime I drive it ,it is like the first time all over again. It kills me everytime I have to go out on the road to earn a living for a week at a time. Then come back and it's covered with dust from sitting in my shop. Then I have to wash it and take it out for a drive. I often make up excusses to go somewhere to get something just to drive it.
I try to tell others the way I feel but they don't get it cause they drive ordinary cars. They think I'm crazy cause the money and time I spend making it more beautiful. To me, it is always worth it, the enjoyment goes on and on!
