Default *Gonna keep your 04/05 xb, or trade it in for the new 06...?

wow, i haven posted forever, anyways...how many of you guys are planning on trading your current boxes in a year or so for the new crossbreed of an xb/element (the 2006 scion xb)...

personally, i think it looks pretty cool, and would consider trading in my 04, assuming the price is similar...anybody else?

keeping your 04/05 xb?

trading it for an 06 xb?

trading it for something else? (non-scion, or another scion model)

keeping it for years and years as long as it lives?

I think you really need to look at what's really changing for '06 before posting a
random question like this with bad info.

xB/element? WTF

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

xB will get a freshening in two stages.
1st stage of product freshening will be the items listed above developed for xA minor changes and will be shared with xB
2nd stage of product freshening will be at end of 2005 coinciding with vehicle changes to comply w/ FMVSS
3 new wheel covers (shared with xA)
iPod / Mini-jack connectors on center console
 New audio head unit design

First off, I'm an IT guy too, so i know MOST of us have a bit of a sense of humor, but i've been proven wrong before...

i've read alot about the 06, (the concept version at least), the xb/element comment was nothing more than a joke/observation on my part, thats all. People have diff opinions of what it looks like, that's mine........again, SARCASM.

Before you ____ your pants next time at what somebodys says, avoid making yourself look stupid, and take a deep braeth and read it through a 2nd time, mmkay? Thanks.

We keep cars until they stop running and then get another new one as a replacement. I expect to be driving my Hot Lava xB for another 10 years.

Ok.. The news that I got from a Scion factory rep was that the new model would not be released until '07. As far as what it will look like, its NOT going to look like the T2B. The purpose of the concept was to employ many different characteristics and see what the feedback was on each. So far, they have a 50/50 mix of people that like/dislike it. Which are the same numbers they had when they debuted the xB. So who knows what the actual production version will look like. I for one, hope it has the headlights and wheels. Other than that, they can keep the rest.... So look for it in '07

The only new feature on the xB will be a changed radio in 2006. (don't quote me).

I heard a rumor (guy who knows a guy) that it IS going to be the T2B, tamed down a bit, and that they are getting reactions to the coupe and pickup variants as well. Supposedly they are already getting "teams" gearing up to test and market it...

I'm not selling mine for some time to come. Well, actually before I hit 100,000 miles.

Not even if xB changes face altogether.

Love how Ford is trying to play catchup. Guess they thought everyone believed "Bigger is Better". What's there's called, "SYN" please, looked stupid to me. Hey, lets make an armor car looking vehicle with a big vault handle on the back.

The skyline is here? You probably are talking about the G35. What I am talking about is the actual skyline GTR that is supposed to be released in the states in '07 which will be AWD and twin turbo'd... So if thats already here (US SPEC) let me know so I can go get mine tomorrow....

As of now, with what I know that is already available or is coming out, I may trade my xB for an Evo 9 (next year), or maybe the up-coming Evo 10. Otherwise, I will keep the xB, because it is a simple, reliable car with naturalwith no tricks.
