TRD Exhaust look like stock exhaust???
Looking into getting exhaust system max of $380.
Read lots of post saying that the TRD's sound is awesome, but the exhaust looks almost identical to the stock exhaust tip.
The next best thing I guess would be the Injen. Except I haven't found a single post about the it nor any sound clips.
It sure looks pretty nice tho...nice tip thats connected to the muffler.
I know the HKS is also in this price range, but I really don't like the slanted look. And the Greddy EVO2 & SP2 is out of my price range.
So what would you recommend?
and does the TRD exhaust look almost idenitcal to the stock?

In my opinion the TRD looks very similar to the stock exhaust, at least as far as the tip goes. I have had several customers come up to my shop that have the TRD, and I can at least say I like how it sounds. For the money though, I would go Injen. I do agree that the GReddy is too expensive, you dont like the HKS slant so thats out (I have the HKS and love it by the way, but thats just me), so go Injen. Stainless piping, good quality, nice tone, not too expensive, and should still be in stock, here and elsewhere.

I like the Injen look, but i will go with sound over appearance between TRD n Injen.
also read somewhere that the Injen exhaust is very big and doesn't fit perfectly through the bumper....and it actually melts part of the installed ground effects
You have to keep in mind that the injen will help out in the performance area while the TRD is all sound! It is up to you but if I had to spenf the money I would wan't a little of both! Keep searching, there is bound to be the right combo out there for you.
The oval shape is the only similarity. The stock tip is a round pos piece with the chrome tip bolted ontop of it. It is also much thinner with no TRD engraving on top. Not to mention the thing is black and HUGE under your car....
The TRD exhaust is pretty pretty and shinny SS and the tip is welded on. It has a TRD egraving on the top and is much thicker. Also the muffler is WAY smaller under your car and looks nice.
