hi guys... i've been slumming around this message board for quite some time now and looking into the xB. (actually my wife says i'm obsessed with it).
anyway, i think that the option of the JDM bench seat and steering column auto shifter is a hot set up... but then again I drive a 1984 volvo 240 wagon with burberry curtains.
what's everyone else's take on the seat/shifter set up? i do know that the bench would interfere with a manual trans, but i personally think that this car comes off as a cruiser as opposed to a sprinter.
by the way.... my name is chris (just incase you couldn't figure that one out from my username)
I look forward to many posts and the eventual ownership of the camo xB.

i like the JDM shifter too...are they all automatic, every JDM bB pic i saw looks like that....
it would be lotta works to convert ours... :shock: money!money!money!

Hey......you wouldn't be the first transitioning from a 240 Volvo to an xB. Both my brother and I owned 240s before our xBs.

Before I started posting here, I would read the posts almost all day, and I was told by quite a few people that I was obsessed... Made my girlfriend pretty mad.. We would be watching a movie or something, and all I could think about was the xB, and I'd get up in the middle of the movie and get on scionlife.com...

i am not a big fan of bench seats. mainly because the third person in the front gets in the way and i like my own space. converting would be fun and you would end up with a right hand drive xB

what third person? that's so you can slide your sweetheart over next to you... :wink:
oh i agree man had they had a bench seat and column shifter for stateside i would have been tempted by the dark side of driving auto. Everytime i see a jdm interior i get just a touch jealous.
