how many of you guys and gals trimmed your bump stops?? after installing lower springs , and if so howmuch? Im instaling Tein S Springs on mine XB

I installed TRD springs on my xB and trimmed the bump stops about inch. I just took a utility knife/blade to hit and lopped off about an inch.

It's my understanding that some aftermarket springs come with new bump stops. I bought my springs used, so I don't know if they came with them or not.

I have lowerred 21 cars and I have trim the bump stops on every application, except tanabes that come with bump stops. I recommend it. follow the manufactor's recommendation. Bill

I installed the Tein-S-Techs on my box and you trim 1i/2" off the bottom and reinstall. My springs came with an instruction sheet for trimming tha stops. It worked for me.

i have air ride on my box and i cut mine in the rear in half. as per the instructions that they sent.

My TRD's didn't come with instructions, except for which way the rear springs went in, so my bump stops are OEM length. Don't notice anything out of the ordinary.

The springs you are getting have a bigger drop, so it might be more beneficial that you cut yours.

same here, on cutting the bump stops. Oh yeah Eibach springs come with new bump stops too. :D Don't wanna bottom out the struts all the time, cutt those bump stops. :D

I had Spy springs on my xB and didn't cut the bump stops. I have S-Techs on my Matrix, and trimmed the bump stops on that car.
