I was wondering, this would be perfect to test on as long as it could be had cheap...to figure out the voltage issue with the Blue LED's. Will an 04 work in an 05 - looks the same.

Damn...umm...The tC is only 05 and 06...but I need one of those...my fascia fell down and got scuffed during one of my guttings....this would be a cheap replacement....plus the blue thing :)

Well, If I get it (I'm project group 2000 bidding) the rest is yours, I just want the electronic control box to try the fix the blue issue. Then I'll pass the fix on, and sell the modded box later. Just pay for the shipping of it. A little pay it forward for all your time providing the gutting info. :bow:

Are the white ones really dim too or are they okay...i wanted to go blue but have heard dimness problems and figured white would be better!!!!???

woah...this is weird...I'm the one who won the auction...i bought it because my LCD got all screwed up while i was changing the console lights...

it's kind of ironic that you were trying to buy it to fix the dim-ness problem..i have the same problem with my console...i just ended up taking out the LCD because it was cracked and I thought the rest of the lights were dimmed because of that...

but reading posts made me realize that this isn't the problem...i was going to just buy some more LEDs and replace it thinking that it was going to be fine if I don't touch the LCD, but i'm beginning to second guess myself...

any thoughts?

and if there's any consolation on you losing the bid, you made me pay a LOT for the console..=P (though dealer charges 520 for it)

:shock: :rofl: Yea, the whole section is pretty expensive. The issue is with Blue and White LED's. The dim problem applies to all of them in the center console. Really sucks too.

PM me and lets see if you can semd me the broken LCD one and I can try and reverse engineer this thing and get some lumins going for us. Keep the good one and hopefully a little mod will brighten them all up.

:( I won't change my guages until I can change the console too, and I don't know if I should do that if I won't be able to see anything on it. Beside, I want the console done if anything... it's starting to look funny so close to the Pioneer's amazingly blue spectacle of a head unit now :nope:

How many leds are needed and where did you get them.....how much????

Well, the other one was a full console, but I meant to follow it closer and ended up having to leave for work and completely forgot about it unitl last night :tap: I did email the guy that won the first one (he posted in this thread) to see if I can buy the board from him. He has yet to respond. I don't need the lense (he cracked his old one) I just need the board.

And now there is another full center on ebay. :nails:
