hopefully the links i put up work but here is what i found at the rsx forum, these Aholes are saying this a win by the Base rsx by bus lengths, but you can tell the guy in the scion is looking at the camera when the rsx launches, and he gets a lousy launch at that , here take a look and judge for yourslef http://omrat.com/crsx/My%20Videos/rsx%20vs%20tc/rsx%20vs.%20tC.wmv

the guy in the tc just looked real confused or something. The rsx did win, but you can't determine anything from that race. I always love tc videos anyway.

wow i just watched the second video. That is real embarassing watching a tc lose that bad. I dunno about that guys driving skills but maybe he just not race that thing anymore. It should have been way closer than that.

Hooray for spreading videos onto every forum....

Yes, we have _______s claiming a "kill". But we all know very well that this race was unfair, the tC driver sucks and that's all there is to it

This vid has already been posted in two other scion tC forums...and obviously they were outraged so let me say this before people start blowing up

1. There was no setup, and no N20 on the base rsx
2. Mods on the RSX = I/E/shortshifter and the tC had intake and short shifter, i think. Both manual
3. Driver sucks for tC

the driver of the RSX is going to do a rerun with a better driver in the tC.

That is all :P

Great points but teh reason, i put this up is because what they are saying " THIS PROVES THAT THE RSX IS BETTER" of course with a good driver, everyone that has seen the video says teh same things the Tc driver looks confused and is a bad driver the facts are there, but that doenst prove the rsx is better, plus why the hell are they racing with their windows down  damn thre is other scion forums i thought it wa sonly this one honestly, i went to clubtc.com and man is it a abandoned forum and i apologize now if it was a repost somewhere else

hey if it comes down to it, take the $8k difference in price between the RSX and tC and put on a ZPI turbo kit and then see who wins

bottom line is the RSX is more car but much more cost. dollar to dollar the tC wins no matter what this video says

But that car was a BASE rsx.. not an RSX-S ... Somebody post up weight differences between the two.

the TC guy isnt tat good at driving.

from a dig, the TC shoud of that the RSX but from rolling... i dunno VTEC and I/E does help a lot.

i was closer than that when i raced an srt 4, that tc driver obviously needs more skils racing. the srt4 did kick my ___ after second but iwasnt that far behind from the beginning

02-04 RSX is around 2700-2800 lbs.

And just ignore the fanboys who try to use this video to show superiority over tCs...they're just fanboys

And the Base RSX doesn't have the real VTEC, heh, just the economy one

well I'm sorry to say this, but those 2 videos are a waste of memory. How about getting a driver in the tC that actually knows how to go above 4K rpm. To base which car is faster off of that video is laughable.

I don't know which car would win in a definitive race but the tC has 300 lbs on the RSX and 20 lbs-ft more to pull it. Is that even enough?

And if anyone really wants to compare the two cars, first gotta remember the tC was built as a Honda deterrent. It'll kill Civics hands down but RSXs?

Not that I want to place doubt on the tC, but it would take good driving to 'kill' an RSX. Rather than compare stock cars, I usually prefer to compare equally priced cars. A 20,000 dollar RSX would get killed by a 20,000 dollar tC m'thinks.

I'm not saying the tC will kill the RSX, I'm just saying you cant base anything off either of those two videos. I think it will be an extremely close race, but not sure who exactly will win. Oh, btw an acura is a honda.

the driver on tC is not good, he cant drag worth SHIZNIT, the tC is able to beat RSX...

especially if the RSX is base (not RSX-S). tC should definantly beat it... other than that it should be neck and neck between those 2..

The video proves nothing, skill is the main factor here and that Tc driver had none plain and simple, that race shoudl ahve been neck to neck or atleats a win by a half a car i think

Why didn't they have someone not driving start the race? If the RSX driver was honking to start, he would automatically get better reaction time because he was starting the race.

I know Acuras are Hondas. I'm making the distinction here because all Acuras are made with V-Tec and the -S comes with iV-Tec. VVT-i is a match with V-Tec and definitely more than a match for a regular D series (are Civic engines still labeled 'D'?)

But like I said, iV-Tec should destroy a tC but a tC will be an equal match with regular V-Tec; I hardly think that a tC will "destroy" an RSX...

Like everyone said, it's all based on skill. I give props to the RSX driver, not the car. I like the car too but it's on equal ground here and not above.. not by a long shot (perhaps the smallest shot in the world..)

i raced a RSX-S, both of us are stock racing in the streets... we were neck to neck after the end of my 2nd gear, then RSX-S took it all the way..

so between RSX base and tC, they should be head to head with each other stock.

the driver on the tC was probably scared to wheel hop. the tC does have a major wheel hopping problem... GET A DAMPER KIT!

As it said on the end, the RSX only had one driver! For all I know, the tC had 5 people in it!

anyways, really no point in these vids. You know which car has more horsepower and which SHOULD win. The point of these vids is to watch the guy with the obviously faster car lose and laugh at him. Even if it were cars in the same class, it would still be about the drivers.

the tC rocks period

I don't have a problem with wheel hop. Learn to feather the clutch right.

how do you exactly feather the clutch for the tC????

is that when you release the clutch to the point where it gives gas but the car does not move?? -- guessing

To be honest with you guys, I think the tC is easier to drive, and most likely it'll let them perform better than base RSXs by a slight margin. Based on what I've seen, the tC has the fastest stock 1/4 thanks to cjimport on clubsciontC, it's like a 15.4xxx, whereas the fastest base RSX time is like 15.5. Although it's possible that the reason why is because all the RSX enthusiasts get the Type S and not much is known about the base, I wouldn't be surprised if the tC could see more kills on a base RSX than the other way around. But when you factor the driver's into the race, i believe it's a driver's race, since the slightest difference in skill could make a difference

Well i have personally raced a 02+ civic si (basically a base rsx, same engine and almost same curb weight) anyways we were dead even all the way through 3rd and deep into 4th (it was also uphill though) and he was very surprised because i kept up with him the whole time (including the bends in the road we had to slow for :silly: ). He had a catback exhaust, intake, lowering springs and 18's with decent tires and at the time all i had was trd rear sway. hehe. also we started from a roll at about 5 mph. afterwards we stopped in our school parking lot and talked for a couple mins and he was very surpised i kept up with him especially through the turns. anyways i think it really all depends on the driver in this race because i think the base rsx is lighter and has a lil more aggressively tuned engine (same hp but with 2l instead of 2.4l) but i think our tourque curve in a lil better and our 5 speed is more aggressively geared. In those videos the difference in speed is so much u would expect like a 1+ sec difference in the 1/4 mile but obviously all the professional magazine drivers are much closer so it is obvously all driver error (or just plain out rigged). anyways i think we should ignore it and just prove them wrong with timeslips from the track
