Is there a relatively easy way to keep the factory fog lights lit when switching on the high beams on an xA?

Thanks in advance,
JC

Why would you want your highs on in the fog? They cause too much dazzle, which is why you should never drive in fog with the highs on. In most states, it is against the vehicle code to have fogs that will operate when the highs are on. One reason why I didn't order the factory fog lights is that they are mounted way too high to be effective. Fog lights should be mounted as low to the road as possible.

Hey Johncal. I know there is a way to do it. try searching the forums because I have seen it on here somewhere. I know what you are saying and I like to have blinding lights in front of my car. LOL

I think the plan is to get the foglights to stay on while using the high beams, not trying to drive in the fog with high beams and fogs. As far as light output, the fogs don't add that much, mostly on the lower outer edge of your light pattern and with the highbeams, may not be noticable at all. Also, it may be illegal in some states to use fogs and your highbeams...

Right....I like the fogs with the high beams because they fill in the light immediately in front of the car. Much easier to pick up animals that dart out from the sides. As far as having fogs on with the high beams go, you'd be pretty dumb to use the highs in the fog anyways.

I've always wired up aftermarkets on all of my cars with them on and it's never been an issue. If it was, I'd just reach down and hit the old OFF switch!

Thanks,
JC
