Well guys...here's my plans for a sub stage in my hatch....32 of the Elemental Designs Eu-700s. This is going to be a weekend project....plus I need money for the glasswork

For starters...the parts I did, my rear panels before cutting:

Cut them down to allow me to glass right over the eDead in the hatch...left a little fabric there for if the seats are folded down...won't see a large gap

Finally...the baffles...32 7.5" baffles with a 1/4" wide 1/8" outer rabbeted edge:

Finally....yes...they ALL fit....and here's the proof:

please please please tell me you still have the excess panels you cut out! If you didn't throw them away, I want them. I want to use them to make molds

How low do those hit? It seems like the midrange would be overpowering and you wouldn't have any low. How many amps do you need for all of those and where are you going to put them?

 

Right now, my boss has 1 on about 300 watts...it's a sub....don't get that wrong...hits retarded low

and amps...2 Nine.1's 16 to each, behind the passenger back seat panels

 

Make sure you take lots of pictures during the process! I know for one, I would love to see the process as you go through it.

You never stop surprising me........first it's an 18 in a 10cu.ft. box.....now 32 7" subs?!?!?! keep us posted....

hey mandos, any idea of what the width of the hatch is before and after you took out the panels., specifically right behind the seats.

 

pretty sure it's 44 with, and about 47 without.
