Just got back from the Scion dealership with my new black sand pearl, xB a few hours ago. It is so dope I can hardly take it. Anyway, I can't wait to order my new rims so I hoping to get some advise from some of you with more experience (this will be my first car with any mods). I am going to order the 15" ATS Cups with black center. They come in both 7" and 8" width. The 7" can be ordered with ET20 or ET 28 and the 8" in ET18 or ET28. I was wondering witch to get. Can I put 8" in the back and 7" in the front or should I get the same width? Also, what do people think is the correct ET to order. I'm assuming that I will need spacers regardless, but which will make things easier? I'm planning to drop 2.2" in front and 2" in rear (Tanabe springs). If I want a mean, beefy tire what do you guys think would work. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm very new to all this stuff and I can hardly wait to get rolling on the ATS's. Thanks in advance.

Thats definitely the look I'm going for. Also was considering adding the fender flares from Sciofx depending on how much installation and painting costs. The flares go for $295. Any ideas as to weather this would make putting 8" on there easier? If I want wheels flush or close with fender (if this is possible) what would this do to appropriate offset?

Congrats on the new car. great color choice (i got the same one). I also have the tanabe springs. Its really up to you if you want a staggered look, get the 7 in front and the 8 in the rear. you will need a 5mm spacer in the rear just to get it on with the 8" wheel, thats with a 215 tire. the front will fit w/o a spacer, but will rub the inner fender wall when turning hard. i have a 45 offset with my 19x8 and w/the spacer it is almost flush. i believe with a 28 offset you can clear it no problem. double check on that

Thanks for the great info. Are you saying that 28ET would work for both the 8" in the rear and 7" in front? As my tire options get fatter how would this effect my offset? Also, does adding the fender flares make things easier or more difficult. Intuitively (or perhaps not) I would think that having the extra width to bring out the wheels would help with turning radius. Or does this add additional fender to rub against?

fender flares are just add ons you still retain the original fender edge

in turn you are still limited to a certain width of a wheel.

unless you plan on extra width, you will then need to cut the oem fender to get the wheel to clear

Really looking forward to seeing what this looks like. ATS Cups were a top choice if and when I get a Scion.
