There was only 3 sticks in the NY region for this allocation. For all the Hot Lavas, (about196 units) there will only be roughly 15 sticks...tough find. Good luck

According to my dealer, my 5spd Lava should be arriving on the 18th in Western/Central Jersey....

Didn't realize they'd be so rare...

I've had a 5 speed on order for over a month, and I'm still expecting it. All that's been received so far are Autos though. I'm glad it'll be more rare, but how long will I have to wait!?

I just confirmed today with my dealer i am getting a 5spd RS1 about the middle of the month. As noted to me from indy007 and later orangescionC21 gulf states toyota is now offering cruise control so let it be known its an extra $275.... but here the intresting news my RS1 is a 5 spd and my dealer tells me that the first allocation of hot lavas to gulf states only had 8 RS1 5spds on it.

I got one.... yeah its safe to say right now i am a very happy camper... but I am not gonna be completely happy till that puppy is in my driveway.

I am soo pumped...

To the other folks waiting, I feel for you........... best of luck!

ha...if mine comes in automatic that dealer is gonna be walking funny for a week...after i pull my foot out of his ___...

Its already been over a month on order and we are already passing the deadline that it was supposed to come in by. But, he assured me a 5spd will be at his dealer around the 18th and it'll be my box...

For his sake, i hope so.

you know that cruise is not factory installed right? Its an aftermarket thing that the dealer puts in.

Actually in the Gulf states and the southeast, it is a option offered by the distributer. I think it is port installed, not dealer installed, but it may be the dealers option too.

Doc
that may be true, but its not "factory". Someone is putting them in after the fact.

In the Gulf States Region the cruise control is installed at port and is currently $275. I added it to mine as soon as I found out about it, only thing is, Last week it was in 1M status, then went to -4M on Saturday; added cruise on Monday and now it is at -6M. Might be a crazy coincidence, who knows. All I know is that It is nuts that we still do not have them.

Just venting

Eric.

Right, it was added by the independent distributer. Must be nice though...

That's dumb. I got a call from my dealer today too. Haven't spoken to him yet. Hope he's not going to try and sell me an auto. I'll just wait.

Spoke with my dealer today to again reconfirm that mine is a 5spd. He said that out of the 80 scion dealers in the North East, only 3 5spd's were alotted in the first Hot Lava shipments, and 1 is mine.

Woo hoo, i'm excited. :D

C'mon March 18th, get here already.

Wow. What a hot color...but you think you'd get bored of it? I mean the car is totally unique and now the color would be too. After talking to my closest dealer here in NJ, it didnt seem like people were lining up to get them. He told me they were getting ONE in about 3 weeks. He said he didnt know what kind of trans....??? whats up with that? Thats kind of important. I think i'll put a deposit down and just see what happens. ____...what an amazing color.
