slightly annoying quality of the interior material...
Has anyone else been bothered by the fact that if you even slightly drag you finger across the dash or the door material (not the fabric part, the harder plastic stuff) that it leaves a whitish mark. ive never had a car thats done that. the door gets marked up really quicky.
any input besides keeping my arms and fingers off the door and wearing mittens

ill have to keep some wipes in the glovebox.
maybe its just the grittiness of the material, why buy 10 dollar bottles of skin cleaner when your XB will exfoliate your skin just as well

That happen to me but here is a better story ...I was spraying some cologn and it came out squirting instead of a spray and squirted right onto the driver door platic and stained it within seconds ...White spots! ... tried scratching it off but left a white mark like you said ...but I solved the problem ...
Armour All Wipes on the plastic preserves it and makes it shine as well as gets rid of the white spots almost permenately.
So thats all.

Agreed, that rough, dull, anti-glare plastic picks up white skin from our every touch. Now you know, this is annoying. Note too, that the material does not much show -dust-
but skin? oh darn!
I am thinking how nice brown Ultrasuede might look, applied to all of the charcoal surfaces
Interoir trim guys here might have some sample pictures and tell a bit how this is done?
Ultrasuede has been around for a long time. It was factory trim in my deluxe '92 Subaru. It never rotted. It never faded (was gray). It never looked dusty or dirty. It feels like sex to touch.
brown or some color which harmonizes between the RS2 and the charcoal appeals to me!

the quality of the seat material is kinda chinsy too....or maybe i just got a bad batch. the driver and passenger seat ( the area that contacts the butt) is getting really fuzzy and kinda stringy.....nothing really bad or nothing that needs to be re upolstered but it is bothersome casue is see it everytime i get inside the car...its one of those things thats just annoying cause you know its there.
YES!! I thought that was just me!!! I'm a mechanic, so i'm always getting into my box with greasy or oily hands (whatever's left on them after wipping them of course) So i always just assumed that it was dried oil or whatever.
I always keep a cotton terry cloth in the car and one wipe it all goes away.
As anyone else noticed how it attracts soooooo much dust? I'm assuming the material has an innate static electricity charge as well.

I've noticed the scratching also. Someone posted to use Armor All on the plastic parts to keep them protected. I've have found Armor All to dry out the plastic even more, and it seems to get worse each time you use the stuff. If you want some goog interior protector try this stuff:

It actually protects and doesn't make things slippery like Armor All. Gets rid of the scratching problem too.
