Anyone install the Progress rear sway bar. I would like some feedback. Thanks all.

I don't know why you'd buy it instead of the TRD bar. They're either the same size or the TRD is a little bigger.

hope this helps. Not only are we a sell for Progress for the Scion community specifically...but we also Sponsor this site helping bring products to this community. What you get from us...is without question the correct product. Ebay is a tough way to go sometimes. Through me...the product is coming directly from Progress Auto to your doorstep

If your ready to purchase...contact me and i'll see if i can do slightly better on pricing for everyone on the site.

Stiffer than TRD. Hotch requires you buy front and rear.

Go with the Hotchkis sway bar set if you want total performance. Get the Progress bar if you're on a budget . I got the Hotchkis bars coming soon

what's so funny?

yea i got the Hotchkis set on stiffest and I dont see why you would want to set it less. Car feels really good and flat and there is no compromise in ride quality so I don't see myself setting it softer.

I'm laughing because everyone wants performance but nobody wants to pay for it.

Actually, I'm not THAT dissatisfied with the stock bars.
Any step up would be a nice improvement. Should I pay a bunch more to get something I'll never need?

The Progress bar is smaller because it's designed to work with the OEM front bar. Thicker and stiffer bars are not always better. Each company has their own way of tuning and niche for what they think is the ideal setting/performance. We spoke with Progress directly and they said they felt the front sway bar did a great job and only the rear needed to be upgraded. They are looking into a mild upgrade on the front but no details on that yet. Hotchkis obviously has a different approach on the matter and offers a full replacement.

Quick summary/cheat sheet:
Progress: Great bar on a budget, easy to install, works with OEM front.
Hotchkis: More expensive with better performance. Rear bar will be horribly balance when used in conjunction with the front sway bar.

Both setups are great and will improve your driving experience. Ask your selft this... How much time and money am I will to invest in this setup?

Oh yeah and judging by how you asked that... I reccommend you go with the Progress rear sway bar. The install takes about 10% of the time as the front, it costs less, and still adds some driving excitement.

I also remember seeing where some people were having problems with "lateral shift" on the front bars (Hotch?)
From the looks of the progress bar, that will NOT be a problem.

also, I know we're $20 more than ebay, but you can definately trust us with shipments and customer service. If $20 is worth the risk, that's ok with me, just letting you know what your paying for with us.

Default Installed

Installed smoothly in stiffest setting. Easy install. Nice quality bar and comes with high performance end links. Car tracks much better. Less understeer. It goes in whatever direction you point it. The stock tires scream for mercy though. I'll install Progress coilovers when my stock shocks wear.
