i was wondering if it is possible to use a tc key with an xb, and program it to the factory alarm?
Has anyone tried this?

I honestly don't think it will work. The receivers should be different in the two cars and that would make the transmitters incompatible. I'll check next week when I'm back at work though and let you know. If you don't hear from my by next Tuesday and you're still interested, send me a PM and I'll get on it.
