Default pioneer head unit? amplifier

does the factory head unit have preouts for an amp? I've got an amp and some subs to put in and I thought I'd ask before i spent the time to pull it out

this topic has been discussed many times......use SEARCH...

no it doesn't have pre-out's.....your only options are 1) buy an amp with high level inputs or 2) look into JL Audio's Cleansweep converter or Audiocontrol's ?Ls6?....don't get a cheap converter feom wal-mart because it will sound like crap.....

Here's what you need to add a pre amp output to your stock Scion radio:

I got this off of ebay from seller id=euro_werks. Mine is a dual RCA out setup that also taps into the factory speaker wiring. Simple install, just plugs into the back of the HU and factory wiring. This seller has single RCA out setups too. Doesn't sound like "CRAP" like the cheap high level converters do. No alternator whine at all.

The seller is a member of Bay Area Scions and posts on SL under the handle "G-Nizzle". It's a great product that I highly recommend to anyone wanting to add an amp to their factory system.

I used that same harness kit for my sub, and I'm very happy
with it.

The photo is large because that's exactly how it shows up on
EBay.

It's a very well made adapter!

Default RCA Adapter

Hi,

The picture shown is the Subplug 4 which will allow you to run an amp for the factory speakers and a amp for the sub, the Subplug 2 will allow you to hook up the sub amp only for the Pioneer HU. I bought mine off eBay from him and he will answer all questions. The Subplug 2 is $48.00 shipped and the Subplug 4 is $58.00 shipped. PM me if you would like his email address.

Raven: did you ever figure out if that's converting a signal or if it's just using an improper signal?????
