Default [VIDEO] TRD Exaust and K&N Cold Air Intake [VIDEO]

The video's were taken with a digital camera so the quality of the sound is pretty poor. It sounds ALOT nicer in person.

i think that sounds good together .. one thing i heard is that if u add a header it will make the whole thing sound really ricey .. im prolly just gonna get a K&N CAI or Weapon R intake and stay w/ the TRD Exhaust .. and not get a header .. but a friend of mine also said that if u add another cat .. it helps w/ the sound .. also .. a header will definitely void your warrantee if the dealer sees it (not sure about the intake) .. also i would be interested in gettin the extended downpipe to turn the TRD Exhaust into a catback .. i personally love the sound of my TRD exhaust by itself on the tC .. sounds better then most anythin out there right now .. no ricey squeels .. couple of friends have an Driver FX and a Blitz Nur-spec .. and they sound a bit ricey .. the kid w/ the blitz exhaust also has an Alphawerx header ..

was the car warmed up at all when you took those shots? my TRD sounds real deep compared to that, and all I have is stock everything, lol. not bagging but just was wondering, cuz i notice the TRD exhaust does have a deeper note when warmed up, compared to when its a cold start.

The car was warmed up. But like i said, the quality of the video is VERY poor. The intake and exaust sound MUCH better in person. Especially the intake.

Thanks for the feedback

I went in to a shop to check that out. They lifted the car and I saw that the only difference between the TRD Axle-back portion and the rest of the exhaust is that the TRD has stainless steel pipes. The Stock exhaust is 2" everywhere. So adding an extended downpipe would just make the car louder because you'd be taking out the resonator and give you NO powergains, maybe like half a pony. If you want power gains, you'd have to get a header, or just a whole new 2.5" cat-back exhaust.

It's the throttle body sucking in air. It's normal, no worries. I think it sounds pretty cool. The stock airbox did that too, it was muffled more and harder to hear....but it was there

i actually meant another resonator .. but maybe it was cat .. not sure .. something to do with muffling the sound .. ask Joe@Dezod .. he was tellin me about that .. he has an alphawerx header and blitz-nur exhaust .. it sounds just alright .. has the piercing sound when revved .. (hasnt done what he was tellin me about yet) .. hes workin w/ a turbo .. so his whole set up will be changed eventually .. by the way Greg .. how do you spell exhaust?
