Depends... the RS1 really is just a tC with a bunch of money spent on mods. So if you like what it has so far and would get those mods anyway, get that and just add on. But if you don't care about it being an RS or the special color and would get different mods, then get a different one and pick what you specifically want.

EDIT: RS1 has: Door sills, 18" wheels, nicer grille, strut bar, cargo mat, badged floor mats, oil cap/battery tie down.

So if those are worth the $2k you wouldn't be spending on accessories, then get the RS1.

Remember you will never get another chance to buy a new
RS1. 2000 dallars can be some nice mods, but doesn't the
RS1 come with an exhaust, grill, and interior kit. That is about
half of the 2000.

good luck

I think the wheels are most of it, if anything. And the grille. I don't think the RS1 has the exhaust though.

As I think most of us with this car, we look for the fact that its different. So I would like to go with the R.S. 1, however I like black cars so I would go with the 2006 tC with the buttons on the steering wheel.

And if your feeling very nicely, you should get the tC and put 3200 of mods in my car ;)

if you are planning on changing the wheels i would go with the regular tC with mods. don't get trd products though. you can save money by getting other companies products for less with the same or better quality

Or even if you want TRD mods, don't get them from the factory. Order elsewhere (mcgeorgeparts/trdsparks) and install yourself.

I would get the RS1.0 in a heartbeat! I love the Absolutely Red finish. The 18" rims are cool too. Limited edition too!!!

What mods are you wanting to get? Can you list them?

id get the RS1. The wheels and grille alone are worth the extra $2k. plus the fact that it is limited edition! the color is nice and unique also.

Honestly, I don't like the color of the RS 1 very much, but that's just my opinion. I would go with the regular tC... or you could get the RS 1 and use the $1200 for a paint job.. hehe

i understand everyone saying buy a stock tC and do the mods myself and all but think about it like this. Scion gave us these awesome cars to buy...............do you know that Scion doesnt make any money off the cars! they make there money of mods for the cars. Some people may be about just themselfs and thats fine but i believe in "you scratch mine, ill scratch yours" Im not knocking anyone for what they do but think about it. My dealership worked with me when i bought my first tC on financing and such cause i understood this idea. I have already been told that for my second tC i am buying from them that I have no worries and that they will push to get me what I want! Man I feel like a scholar or something. im done now. :D

I like the RS1 but I'd get a stock '06. You'd still have the money to do the mods (And you can get them from Scion if you so choose) but you'll have a newer car for the same money. Be the first on your block to own an '06! Good luck!

Its makes sense as far as the money to get the rs1, but Its just some about having the 06 model that out weighs that car, even though its everything I would like to mod in my scion except putting in a audio deck! Maybe I should quit waiting on the 06 since I'm getting a aftermarket deck any way, and I know dealer ships have that RS1 in stock. MY Buick is dying man!

what happened to your car anyway? did someone hit you? i'm wondering why it's sounding like you're going to have enough payout to not only buy a new tC but to also put $3k+ worth of extras on it..

not that it's any of my business, anyway just curious
