Default pimpin in a whole new way ???

I got my xb a couple of weeks ago... and looking around I cant believe that no one out there has done the mods I am considering ... a lift, roof rack, bigger tires, lights, fender flares.. all the stuff to make it sort of a "mini-hummer"..... call me a red-neck.. call me crazy... whatever... I was just curious if anyone out there has seen or done anything like this ????

I think the consensus around here is that it will look really goofy, but have fun.

That and the fact that you'll be using half your 108HP just to
turn those big assed wheels.

There are two reasons why you haven't seen that:

#1. Scions mostly appeal to the "tuner" market. These people are all about low and fast.

#2. Like Lonely Raven said, unless you do MAJOR engine mods for more power, that little 108HP 4 banger just isn't up to the task. Most people feel it's under powered as it is on a stock xB. I'd hate to think of how sluggish it would be trying to turn big mud tires.

I do think the car would look cool though. If you do it, post pics!

Ditto. It would be interesting to see it pulled off well.

Aren't you forgetting the gun rack and antlers on the hood?

Why can't you believe it? All that stuff is rather stupid for city driving.

[yes] it's stupid for city driving, but keep in mind most people who jack their trucks up, throw on 33"s, etc...don't do anything with it. It's almost always done for looks...you know, to increase the bulge in their pants.
I used to see a jacked up kia sportage in my neighborhood (also underpowered), but it was pulled off really well and completely unique/eye-catching.

I like the idea of jacking an xb up (the pioneer xb looks good), but yeah, you're gonna have a harder time getting down the road as compared to those running 19" rims. Go ahead and do what you can to increase the power even though it's gonna cost you. Also, upgrade your brakes at the same time as the larger tires go on, because the extra rolling resistance/weight will do a number on the stock brakes.

Good luck, and post pics.
