Default How was your experince with YOUR dealer?

Love the XB, hate the Dealer. Since I bought the car on may 7th i've been back there at least twice a week, for all kinds of problems. Missing manuals, missing remotes, not sending info to DMV (numbers were written down wrong and when VIN didn't take they just gave up on it),giving me the manuals for a T.C. saying it's the same, i mean all kinds of stuff. And they have the gall to offer to "fill up my tank" after all that.... I wanted to Dragon Punch them all, but violence is not the awnser I asked for floor mats and they said "they would see" ...anbody else have problems wit their dealer? I mean everybody their knows my name.... and i have a hard to pronounce name

Not great, but not horrible. Most of my problems stem from the service people, and their inability to get parts in when they said they would. I also felt pressured into getting some crap from the dealer, as well as trying to sign high interest rate.

When I bought the BCP, we were out that afternoon, after signing. I noticed something in/on the paint on the driver's side-rear that looked like some NASTY orange peel. The sales manager met me in the parking lot asking if there were problems. After showing him my concern, he took the car to a service bay and handbuffed the problem out himself...on a SUNDAY.
How's THAT for service? My dealer? Cherokee County Toyota/Scion. There was no discussion as to where we would buy the second...

I didn't deal with the dealer, I had Autoland (http://www.autoland.com/) do it for me. They called around to the dealerships and found the xB I wanted (TCM, manual, no options) and delivered it to me. Easy!

Yeah Gortok toyota of roswell... My sales guy was cool, but everybody else just dropped the ball...and kicked it while trying to pick it up..then ran into each other while trying to get it... I'll probably get another scion or toyota in da future, but not from them.... I'm even afraid of the service dept. I had a question about the blue light on the first day i got my xb and they were all like "oh no you gotta leave it here that's bad!" i was like "uh i don;t think it's that major but can i have a rental until i get it back?" they were like "no" i was like "brb" found a tech, found out it was low coolant temperature, then bounced... I might have to drive out to cherokee county now for service,

I now have had dealings with sales, parts, service, and the dealer bodyshop. Each deserves a separate rating.

Here's how I would rate them on a scale of 0 to 5:

Sales - 3.5
Service - 4.5
Parts - 5.0
Bodyshop - 4.0

I think I will see if I can 'add to' the rating I already gave the dealership in the Review section:
https://www.scionlife.com/dealers/?dealer=505
so that I can provide info on why I rated them the way I did.

I like the rating system so here is mine on Jack Taylors Toyota/Scion

Sales: 4.5
Service: 2.5
Parts: 5.0
Bodyshop: N/A

This dealer does not have a body shop.

I got the feeling that they couldn't care less whether I bought a car from them or not.

Cobb County Toyota was much better. We talked at length to a fellow named Jeremy. He seemed to be "on his game". He took good care of us. But, in the end, we decided to go with the dealership that was closest to us.

So far, we've not been disappointed. They all call me by name when I show up there. They know how to do business.

Where should I start?

Let's just go with the most recent screw up - my registration renewal never made it to the DMV, so my plate is still registered for the car I traded in, and is expired. I paid the renewal fee at the time I picked up the car.

Yesterday my box got towed, I had to pay $132 to get it out of impound and now the front airdam is all jacked up, and the towing company told me I must have driven over a curb, their towtruck wouldn't do any damage. RIGHT. It all goes back to the dealer not doing their freakin job and taking care of things. Just because something was mailed, doesn't mean that they received it, and you are still responsible.

And that's just the icing on the cake people. It was a rollercoaster ride from the beginning. Never again.

I dealt with two dealers. The first one was horrible, wasted 4 hours of my life, tried to cheat me out of my truck (wanted to give me $1k less then wholesale for it) and kept trying to push me into a base model matrix instead of the RS1 I wanted.

The next dealer (one I bought from) was light years ahead in customer service. Took 45 minutes from the time I walked in until I had signed the contracts, they had foundt he one I wanted at the port and secured it for me. They gave me retail for my truck (more then $4000 more then the other dealer was willing to give) and they've been nothing but helpful whenever I go back.

Also, they got me my car in less then 5 days (I was going out of town on friday, ordered it sun/mon). They mounted/balanced my aftermarket rims (brought them with me to pick up the car) and even gave me an alignment on them later.

no concerns regarding the dealer. my salesperson was average. he didn't do much to sell the box, except hype the gas mileage...which didn't/doesn't matter to me. he was just the guy that helped me basically. went in a couple weeks after 'working' with him to finalize the financials and he barely remembered me. can't blame him tho, he was doing his job.

dealer did recently send me a notice for free autogard (new clearcoat application) so i guess now, i can say i'm happy with the dealer, heh.

The sales guy I dealt with was great, the parts guy was awesome but the entire financing dept. was a bunch of idiots. Over the course of 3 months, I had to go in 3 times with my proof of income and/or references because they kept losing it. Toyota Financing couldn't help me during this time because my paperwork was never submitted. I ended up having to make 3 payments in 2 weeks to keep from getting hit with a late charge and taking a ding in my credit.

I had a great dealer experience.

(reminder- make sure you post your dealer review so others can avoid bad experiences or maybe reward good dealers with a little extra business)

that is all

my dealer experience was fine as well. I actually dealt with two dealerships as well. The first couldn't give me what I wanted for my trade-in, nor did they have what i wanted in terms of color and tranny. A couple weeks later I ended up at Team Scion in Langhorne, PA. They had exactly what I wanted on the lot, I walked in and told them i wanted that car and the rest was history. When they said they could only give me $600 for my trade in, I told them unless I got $1500 for itthe deal wouldn't happen. They then arranged a sale of my car for $1500 to a local used car dealer down the road and took care orf all the paperwork, transfers, etc. Excellent service and help. I ahve dealt with the first dealer for parts and service because i live closer to them now and they are easy to deal with as well.

My dealer experience was loooonnnnggg! It took about 3 hours just to get everything over with! They had the car coming on a truck and it was fine they just had to put on the rims and CD player! The paperwork and that took three freakin hours!!! OMG it was so long, but it was so worth it! I love my xB!

I bought a tc last summer, and the dealer was a pain in the ___. The salesman knew nothing about Scions, and the financing guy told me I could only get a higher interest rate. They didn't know crap about the accessories or what they cost. I ordered the TRD springs and struts for my car. After a month, still no parts and they couldn't tell me if it was even ordered. But they had the only BSP TC in the area.
Now for dealership #2.
My wife wants a xB. So we go to the other Toyota dealer and they have 3 in stock. Two are used and the other is auto. Of course they want to sell me one of their cars and gave me some bs why they can't look for one at another dealer. I really dont want to deal with these guys again.
