hi guys, if i were to put 17-inch rims on my scion xB, will that void any manufacture warranties? or are they really letting owners customize their rides? chevrolet just put out an announcement a while ago that if you put rims on any of their vehicles your warranty is null in void! just thought id investigate b4 i did somethin dumb, lol

That is lame! Just another way of getting out of a warranty. If Scion did that, it would stray from the original intent of the vehicle, which I believe it to be, "Make a statement and have nothing like yours on the road." <- Taken from the Scion website.

Actually, that TRD wheels are 18's. I saw a statement somewhere the 19's would make things questionable.

Also, shoot my dealer sold me the 18" wheels at time of purchase, so you better believe I'd raise a stink if they tried to not warranty my drive train.

you can customize your scion but bigger rims will damage any car or truck engine and transmission over time ....this is to protect your investment and believe me scion is doing the same by saying any thing bigger than 17 inch rims will void your warranty that is why they have the 17 inch rims as an upgrade and nothing else

if you take your car in for warranty issues, just put back on the stock wheels and any other stock components you've replaced.
