Default Things to look out for

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums, and I'll be picking up my hard-earned first car, a new Silver Streak Mica xA this Saturday!

I have a question for all you scion gurus out there tho - are there any specific things I should look for when examining it for pick up? Defects, etc.?

Thanks everyone - I really enjoy reading the posts here.

I'm sure no expert, but I'd just do the most complete exam you can do.. Don't let the dealer try to rush you, either... They want to move you on, you are paying hard earned $$$ and have to live with this thing for years..

I thought I had inspected my new xA, only to find that someone taking the window sticker off had damaged the window tint, I thought it was a piece of tape and didn't see what it really was until the next day when I went to clean the window!

Anytime you take delivery of a vehice, be sure to check the fluids! They are very careful at assembly with this, but hey, things do happen....

Good luck and have fun!!!

I'd check it over closely for dings and scratches. I bought a Miata a few year ago and never noticed a scratched on the fender until the day after I picked it up.

make sure your stereo is configured properly. Mine sounded like CRAP when i first got my car and it took almost a month to discover that the head unit was configured for a tC's sound system. I switched it over to xA proper and it immediately sounded better, thought i was gonna have to take it in for wiring problems or something at first, the stereo had never sounded that bad on my test drives of other xA's....
