Default Megan Racing header install

I've never made a post praising a product before this one, well to be frank i've never had a product to praise yet. Until now, i installed the megan racing header that i got off of ebay for $120 shipped today. It installed exactly like the dc sports header (I even used the dc sports header install from the tech section) everything bolted right in no modifications necissarry, header came with new heavy duty gaskets for the install. All in all took about an hour and a half for the whole thing (that includes half hour for lunch) Took it out for a 45 minute drive and i was not expecting the results i got, it revs quite a bit faster, and in first gear when i got on it i was having trouble shifting to second without bouncing off the rev limiter. It pulls harder than it used to on its way to 60 and seems to get there quicker also. It also made my catback exhause go from kind of timid and slightly raspy to deep and mean sounding, but is still very quite during cruising. All in all well worth the money, and recommended to anyone on a budget who wants to zoom.

Did you have an aftermarket exhaust on it?

the older ones needed nuts to go on the ends of stock bolts cuz they were not threaded. the newer pieces are threaded.

I'm on a budget...but I want to zoom! But back to the budget part, how does it affect gas mileage? Neglible (I hope)?

the same. all depends if you can keep driving slow. cuz with the added power you most likely will want to drive faster and harder.

well, I just installed a megan and the dude was telling me about his horror story on ebay. So he really paid for two headers and only got one. He is still fighting with the ebay seller, ebay and paypal. Ebay buyers beware!!

why would you thread the header? just buy two 50 cent nuts to put on the end of the bolts.
