I've tried a search, but didn't really find an answer. If you trade out your stock 17" wheels, for new 18" wheels (like the Enkei's offered from Scion) will the tire pressure monitoring system work?

Do you just bolt on the new wheels, but keep your stock tire stems? If you get the factory 18" Enkei's from Scion, do they come with the necessary stems/equipment for the TPMS to work?

What type of tire pressure monitoring system did you tC come with - an "Indirect" ABS system, or a "Direct" valve stem system?

Never mind. The tC has an indirect system that is soley based upon wheel diameter and rotational speed. No need to worry about the TPMS and changing wheels, as long as the overall diameters stay close to the same.

I did not say you could trade your wheels in at Scion, what I was saying is if you traded (sold, removed, etc.) your stock 17's for the factory 18's. Scion will not take your stock 17's, so you will have to sell them on Ebay, to your local junkyard, etc.

I do believe if you select the Enkei 18's from Scion when your buy your tC, you will never see the stock 17's (unless you ask for them during the purchase maybe?).
