Default Finished the Turbo/Exhaust install. 156 rwhp SO FAR!

And it turned out awesome! The car runs soooo much better and is an absolute blast to drive. This is the prototype kit from Real Performance Motorsports.

Right now it makes right at 7 psi, and it is currently being tuned. It made 87 rwhp to the front wheels bone stock. We added a turbo, intercooler, Titanium muffler, injectors, fuel pump, 2.5" piping all the way back, and a custom ram air. After those changes, it has made 156 hp to the ground! There is still plenty of tuning left and more power to be had!

Specs on the turbo, piping routes, etc are yet to be released!

Here are some pics.

Tommorow when we are done tuning, Ill post up the final numbers, clean the thing up, and post more pics.

As you can see, since this is a prototype, there are a few things to work out/wire, but all in all, I am very impressed with the Techs that built it!

i dunno with amp wires under the car and a claim of "156rwhp" i dunno man. i guess they do it differently in texas.

hmm if this hp number is right theire weird setup is kicking the snot out of every other forced induction setup out there as of right now. but considering el prototypes kept blowing with a lot less hp than that makes me very skeptical.

Shoot some dyno videos. And post pics of the dyno sheet i want to compare my dyno sheet to yours. I made 135whp but that's through an automatic, sounds like some good power gains.

"156 RWHP"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean Rear Wheel Horse Power?

This is my favorite part
It made 87 rwhp to the front wheels

You would think they could do a better job of placement of course what do I know.

Looks pretty ghetto, along with those amp power wires run
under the car.

I hope the finished product looks a bit cleaner and is installed
better then that amp!

I think that's thermal tape.

I'm still trying to figure out why that engine compartment
looks wrong...

Gee whiz... it says that they will " As you can see, since this is a prototype, there are a few things to work out/wire" so give them a chance. At least they actually attempted to do something.

For the wording errors, if you notice the writer signed her name "Lydia," and mentioned that the techs built it, so I bet the techs are not the person that wrote the thread (not being sexist or anything)

Don't be discouraged and keep us updated!

Thanks for the help instead of the bombardment!

Wow. I didnt realize posting up some pics of the new setup were going to bring get me owned on the internet.

First and foremost, RWHP stands for two things, Rear wheel horsepower on in a case like this, REAL wheel horsepower. In concordance with the power that actuallay makes it to the dyno.

Also, like i said before, this is a prototype! Obviously, no one here has fabricated a turbo kit. They didnt copy another "kit" because the way you go fast and make power is trying something different than the other guys. I mean, the car doesnt even have a front mount on it, so it is defnetly not up to its full potential right there. The injectors that are on the car are 28.8lb, so we had to used other connectors and splice the two together. In addition to fabbing up a heat shield for underneath the turbo. You can run the car on the dyno for a couple of pulls and then go put your hand on the heat shield no problem. There just hasnt been any time to clean anything up yet. THey started on Saturday night at 10:30, and pretty much havent stoppped working on it. AS with any FI kit, there will be bugs, tuning, and cleaning.

I am on my way to the shop and I will post up pics of dyno graphs and try to shoot a video. RPM builds 9 sec cars on a daily basis, so it depends how busy we are.

Check out the website if you have any doubt about RPM's ability to build fast cars. Thats what weve been doing for a long time now. ;)

And by the way

That "wire" you are seeing, is a 250 psi Fuel Line coming from the NOS inline pump! This is a stock stereo car, why dont you ask before you speak, that way you dont sound like an idiot.

I wonder why? Maybe because its a prototype like he stated. Why don't you all suspend judgement until you get some facts and some final numbers. This is a work in progress after all. I hope these comments don't dicourage more people from sharing projects with us all. SL is becoming a giant group of skeptics and 'haters'...

Anyway keep up the good work RPM dude!

( for ref. see https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=54061 )
he did a HP/MPH run and had 143hp (with heavy 19" rims robbing power)
then he did a HP/RPM and got the true number of 120 at the wheels. (still with 19's)

yes it is a work in progress,
i do commend you for making a set up.
i wish you luck with it.
