If you want to use your stock cd player, you need a line output converter to run an amp and subs.

Ok....there are no pre-outs on the stock head unit. If your amp has "high level" inputs.....then you DO NOT need a line out converter. Just splice some wires with the rear speaker wires from the stock head unit, and run them to your amp.

If your amp does not have high level inputs, and only has RCA inputs, then you will have to run a line out converter. I still just tapped the wires for the rear speakers and hooked them up to the line out converter. Then ran RCA cable from the converter to the amp.

As far as running a sub from that amp......you should be fine if its not a sub that requires a ton of power (anything you get in 8" or 10" will probably be absolutely fine with your 600 watt amp). And make sure its a 4 ohm sub........and bridge the channels of the amp into the one speaker.
