My xB has less than 3500 miles on the OD.

OK, so I go to get into the xB this morning and as I am opening the drivers side door it CREAKS?!?!

Got to get to where I got to be and then I open the door and it CREAKS again!!!!

Now it is CREAKING EVERYTIME I OPEN THE Door but doesn't when it is being closed.

Anyone experience this?

mine does it every once in a while, figured it was the gremlin living under my hood playing tricks on me.

seriously tho, a couple of the other guys have heard it too, just comes out of nowhere (no rhyme or reason why).

wouldn't that creaking when opening your door be covered by the warranty??? I think it would be for bumper to bumper.

 

Not really, this sounds more to me like "normal wear and tear," even if only 3500 miles..I say taht because it is something that usually happens with car use.. not a problem with manufacturing. Hope this helps.

 

warranty? BLAH lubricate the thing and move on with life :-P

i had some white grease left over form work, i lubricate everything every 15K or so. every hinge and latch

 

white lithium grease works wonders
