Will a stock oem headunit from a tC directly fit into an xB?

 

theyre the exact same headunit so yes.

should be but no stearing wheel controls toyota hasn't changed their wire harness for yrs.

Yes, it will fit in the 04 and 05 xB since the wiring harness is the same. You just won't be able to use steering wheel controls nor will you be able to connect the iPod kit.

If you're going to spend money on an HU just go aftermarket.

nope. the 06 toyota moedls all have different connections then previous years. so 06 and up will be the same and all 05 and down to 87 or so are the same .

From reading this thread, one could conclude that the 06 will indeed work for 05 and below models.
