Thanks, -BrianH matty-tC 06-28-2005, 01:35 PM If you call them you can ask about it. That's what I did. They explained 21whp with an otherwise stock car. You can pull another 8whp with an Emanage on top of it. I believe it's $550 for the head (after core). Core charge is somewhere around $400. *I PROVIDE NO WARRANTY ON PRICES OR FIGURES LOL* Thrawn 06-28-2005, 03:47 PM They have not released dynos yet, to my knowledge. If you send them your head, you'll pay $550 for the port and polish. That price should include return shipping. If you don’t want to put your car out of commission, then you'll have to pay $1250 for a new ported and polished head from them. Once you receive it, you can send your old head back for a core exchange, and get $700 back. ZPIracing 06-28-2005, 06:28 PM This accurate. We offer the stage 1 package for 550. We have sold plenty of these so I an sure there are people that can vouch for the gains. I thought we posted dyno sheets maybe not I will try to find them. -ZPI 550 retail price 700 core charge acasanova 06-28-2005, 06:33 PM This accurate. We offer the stage 1 package for 550. Yes please, I am very interested in this option. thelast60 06-28-2005, 09:03 PM I want the head package too, gets a lil expensive. 1300 if you send yours in after, get the 700 or so back, but asked them about install, they said around 600 bucks. To me that sounds a lil high but not sure how hard it is to put in. Has anyone put one in themselves, and is it that hard??? toastbox 06-28-2005, 09:18 PM If you haven't done a head r/r yourself, this probably isn't the sort of thing you want to do on your own, unless you are very mechanically inclined. Improperly installing the head will 100% void your warranty on any repair costs associated with it. For example, if you don't seal the head gasket correctly, antifreeze will mix with your oil. When the bearings get coated with AF/oil, they're gonna glaze, and then you're looking at a complete rebuild job. Scion is gonna remove the head, see that it's been p/p, and say: "the head gasket failed, because the head wasn't installed correctly. under those circumstances, this isn't covered under warranty. However, we'll be happy to rebuild your engine for you.....for $3000. If you don't have any experience with this sort of thing, don't attempt it by yourself. Take it to someone who knows what they are doing, or find someone that lives near you and has done this sort of thing before, and is willing to help you. thelast60 06-28-2005, 10:34 PM Thanks man, i will not touch it. But what sucks is there is not many places here in Indy that i know of that do work like that. The one place i went too couldn't even put my headers on right, had to go back because it was leaking. I will probabaly find some place to do it before i get it. toastbox 06-29-2005, 12:47 AM Indy as in indianaopilis?? If that's where you live, I would be absolutely shocked if there weren't a few good shops around there. Really, all you are looking for is a tuning shop. There's *got* to be a few places around there that will do that. TimmyT 06-29-2005, 01:09 AM yah what about your stage II kit? I only got a little bit of info about it, What are the numbers like? and price? I'm interested in the Stage II. PghtC 06-29-2005, 02:10 AM mmmm P&P head. I put one on my old z24 and it kicked ___. I am new here, what is the web address for ZPI? texasisbigger 06-29-2005, 03:11 AM So can any third party vouch for the product? Has any ScionLife member gotten it? ZPIracing 06-29-2005, 03:56 AM Yes Scionlife members have got this product. I am not sure what there names our on here as we do not know any of our customers screen names when they call and order. I will look for the dynos and post them it may be awhile as we are still packed up and from the move. The head on the tC is not a very easy install thus the high price on the labor. We are only a hour or so from Indy we can install it!!!! The stage II head is still in the works, we have a head at REV as we speak getting custom valves and springs, retainers made. This is a customer head I believe thay are on here if so they are more than welcome to speak up. They will have the first stage II head that we have built so I am sure they are proud of this. We will then be able to offer them to all after this. -ZPI thelast60 06-29-2005, 03:57 PM I guess the price comes with good work. Indy has some good shops ,but like i said i don't know all the shops so it would be hard to tell. I will probably save up and head down to ZPI and let them do it, you said around 600$ for install right?? thanks hahaitzskippy 07-01-2005, 02:35 AM wat if we are out of state. such as CA... am i better off going to a local shop? or mailing it to ZPI and leave my engine open for the world to see for about a week boostedscion 07-01-2005, 10:42 AM they had an exchange program? RollTide 07-01-2005, 06:29 PM ZPI, is the stage 2 designed to raise redline along with a P/P?? I'm not really sure on this, but is the head restricting the redline or is the bore/stroke ratio just that bad. I'm coming from having a B18b Honda engine, and I know you could raise the redline almost 2000rpms with new springs and retainers, and a good tuning job of course. What's in the works?? -Tide RollTide 07-01-2005, 06:29 PM my bad, got double posted... -Tide ZPIracing 07-02-2005, 03:04 AM WE agree the car needs to rev...The stage 2 head package should be done and shippng sometime next week. We would like to rev the stage 2 head to the 7k range but are limited to the abilites of the ECU. We need a good stand alone to allow us to do this. We are still looking and working on avaiable options -zpi ZPIracing 07-02-2005, 03:04 AM WE agree the car needs to rev...The stage 2 head package should be done and shippng sometime next week.
