We got our tC and wanted to wait for awhile before we released any shots of the car, but a wrench got thrown into the mix so we will at least post these pics for those that want to see our smoked tail lights kits for the tC.

Sweet. They are overlays correct?

We do not call these overlays. What this is the same high impact resistant film that we use for the headlights and fog lights on the front end we use for the rear tails as well.

Nice! Where did you get them ?

This is our project car that we are building for advertising purposes. We sell and install this product ourselves. Check out link below.

This is as much of the car that are willing to show for now. There are some things on the car and we do not want to release pics without the car being complete.

You want darker we can do that too. The pics above were taken so you can see that the red still shows through. But I have darker is you want to smoke them out.

RockBlocker...can you do a platinum finish on the tails? Kinda retain the reflectiveness of the sun and lights around while still being able to see the brakelights through it. sort of like the platinum tint?

In person that is what everyone thinks it is a dark red. I have had three Scion sales reps tell me nice mod on the dark red tails. And I say it is not, they are smoked.

We only offer this version which is 20% smoked and a darker 35% for people that want really blacked out look. Yes the percentages are opposite for this from window tint. So read carefully.

The close up pick looks like they retain the glossy look of stock tails. The picture taken at a distance looks different.
I want to know if they are glossy or not. I would like to smoke the tails on my tC but I want to retain a glossy look. TYI

p.s. Do you make them with the reverse lights clear or uncoverd?

Yes, they are glossy all the time. The distance pic was taken about 15 miles from a fire and that day there was a haze in the air so that might be it or the fact that the sun wasnt on them at the time.

PS. We only offer what you see.

Yes, we do carry the clear bra kits and do a lot of Scion's since the paint is so thin. Thanks for the comment.

Nightshades is definitely an more permanent option that makes it harder to reverse since the damage that can be caused to the light itself or the paint around it. Your car looks really nice, btw!

If you are worried about legality of the smoked film please check your local laws. Here in AZ it is 500ft that red cn be seen from. That is no problem with the 20%. No night pics, but we have checked it out and have no problems seeing the brake lights.

It is not your basic vinyl. This film is made from high impact resistant vinyl made to prevent rock and other freewar debris from damaging your light. It was started for headlights and fog lights. We just decided to use it for the tail lights.
