if i get headers for my TRD exhaust, which is an axle back, would i get the same sound as with a catback? and would it make the exhaust sound much louder if i added headers to the trd exhaust with injen CAI?

I have headers on my tc with the TRD exhaust, and couldn't sound better. I just got my Injen intake yesterday, but won't be able to put it on till the weekend. I can let you know how it sounds.

Any header with the TRD Exhaust will have the sound of an 93 Accord with a fart can. TRD is NOT the exhaust you want with a header.

I gotta say that my alphawerks header with the TRD exhaust was way too loud for me. I checked all my bolts and nuts and leaks but there was no way around it unless I was to get a resonator put in on the exhasut piping somewhere. Dang putting a header on my old civic or del sol wasn't such a headache, well, that's obd2 for you.

I hear that once the header "break in" (maybe it was the cat...not really sure) the sound changes for the better.

Mine was a big change at first, but after a while u get used to it. If i hit the gas and hit higher rpm's it sounds a lil farty but not as bad as others. I even had a guy at a shop say it sounded pretty good for having headers on it. Overall it has a medium deep sound.

Just put your lips together and hum, that is the sound...good you are almost there. :lalala:  ....no really

thelast-it's not too raspy? i've heard people say that over 3500rpm or so that the sound is horrible. also, for those who have header, did the sound definitely get better after break in, or did u just get used to it so u can live with the crappy sound now?

It did break in. when i first put them on i almost regreted putting it on, i did get used to it . Sounds loud at times but who really cares, it doesn't sound like sh@#, sounds alot better than other cars out there. Headers are goin to do that, if you don't like the sound don't buy headers, OR if you want a deeper sound get a new exhaust. Aftermarket is not perfect so you have to learn to live with some things.

Anyone have a video clip of the TRD Exhaust + [any brand] Header combination? Or sound clips? I think I found one but it was not a good quality, at all..
