A proper strut bar will not use the shock struts as bracing. The worst case scenario, the force will sheer the shock struts and you loose your shocks.

The shocks struts will still move as the strut diameter is smaller than the hole it goes thru in the rear strut tower.

For a rear strut to work properly, you'll have to fab a mount that MOUNTS to the towers themselves.

so is this not a good idea?

i was only looking into this for show purpose

If all you want is the rear STB for show, it probably would be best to have the front and rear STBs match. I'm sure one could modify a front STB for use as a rear STB, since it's for show only. I took this approach when designing a rear STB for a Dodge SRT-4 I used to own. But the rear STB was more functional than show, constructed out of solid metal plates and solid square tubing. Combined with the front STB and Eibach springs, it made the ride VERY stiff for everyday street use. But man did it handle like it was riding on the proverbial rails...

i have the same design for both front and rear yay . and i didnt even try to . lol
