This is the best idea I got from this forum for floormats....I forget who thought of this on here, but I tried it out. This was a sheet of that plastic you lay on carpet for chairs with wheels. It was at Sam's for $13....made 2 front and 2 back ones from one sheet with leftovers.
These floormats look good and do not move whatsoever, I tried to move them and they are planted well.

Just thought I'd share my experience....better than $145 mats....I think.

Looks good. And well protected.

I already have the expensive dealer mats, but I still want to try this.

How hard was it to cut?

my thumb was tired. I'll admit...it's thick, but I used some regular ol scissors. If you have it, I'd use a REALLY sharp razor blade and a yardstick or some beefy scissors like the kind that can cut a penny in half....

I got the idea from this forum and the material was the cheapest at SAMS. I'm know you can go to Office Max or Office Depot, but it's a couple bucks more...

i ordered the tC mats on ebay, came to 130 dollars including shipping, saved 15 dollars but i think, hey it's my car, i want a scion carpet to match it well :T

but the idea isnt' bad, i did that to my old accord, and it was hell to cut. only thing was bad was during the winter where the snow gets on it, melt, and then water goes to the side of the car, and washing down all the dirty stuff on the mat onto the car which sucks. Make sure you by aftermarket rubber mats for wet climates!
