A. cut holes to vent?
b. cut holes and put 80mm fans in there?
c. what do you think...

as of right now the amp is mounted on top of the speaker box [o[]o] just dont want someone to see it and be like ohhh looky here.. crack a speaker box with two tens and a amp.

Not a problem for me. Never once has it shut off from heat. But I may still put a fan in it to circulate air.

My amp is chillin nicely in the cargo box and has never over heated. When people see it they always ask me that. But not even in 100 degree so cal heat have I ever had a problem.

I'm only pushin one 12" though, so it's only 300 watts. And there's usually nothing ever on top of it. I have pics, I'll post 'em later.

Peace.

I haven't had a problem, and I've got a sub box on top of it.

I think it would have more to do with your equipment and install. Some brands are notorious for getting hot. Even just mounted on top of a surface. Just make sure all the connections are good and you have a good solid ground, with proper sized wire, and you should be fine.

xbtuner - nice job .. classic sub!

Gotta rock one of the best speakers ever produced! These things are getting rare anymore.
