Minimum of 1500 I would say if you want good quality that will last at least 5 years.
I have had cars painted at Maaco and similar places and they NEVER last more than 18 to 24 months max. Those are good places to paint and SELL!!

I just had estimates done for my truck.. same color, but complete paint job with very little rust and dent removal and it was, on ave., 4K. From talking with these guys, I'm guessing it'll be 3K for you, unless you want to change colors and they have to strip everything out then maybe back to 4K (my estimates included me doing tear down and rebuild and nothing to the inside of the box).

It all depends on the place you take your car too. some places charge wayyyyyy to much, and others that do better work than the 1st place you toke it.

my buddy is having is BOP XB painted. the top is going to be silver and there will be a pin stripe or 2 seperating the 2 colors. i can't remember off the top of my head what the $$ amount was, but you can PM xbtuner for more details.

You could do like I want and make it yellow with a Charlie Brown stripe...
