true.. why even bother to write... just don;t answer..

anways.. the steering wheels should be interchangable... however.. your probably going to need to wire up the steering controls... and need a 06 radio... without both you have nothing..

Well, that depends on the sense of humor of the person reading it. An **** person won't like it but a fun, sensible person will just laugh.

If a search were conducted on this site, the searcher would find that the steering wheel, while it will fit, will not be able to be used with the controls as yet. Someone might make it work in the future but, since the wiring harnesses are diferent, there is no making it work.

I don't know, I was just having fun. If you couldn't tell I was kidding around by the first set of letters (OMGWTFBBQ) then you should really lighten up, LOL.

NEW TOPIC ON STEERING WILLS??????????/ Will they be, or does anyone now about electrical enough to say if the steering wheel controls will be functional with aftermarket decks (nav decks in particular) cause if not, I could just quit my torcher in wait to get a 06 and just get the 05 from off the lot cause I'm getting a aftermarket nav system anyway. Answer please if anyone knows? "Really who uses OEM stero's anyway?" Well it does play mp3's but I've never kept the factory deck in any car

you can but it will cost you a $1000. Still cheaper then trading in your 05 for a 06.

I have connected steering wheel controls to aftermarket decks before.. but I also have a degree in electronics engineerings, so it may not be for everyone. It requires taking apart the deck, doing some probing to determine the control signals and building the proper interface. Impedences and control voltages should be carefully considered. As well as properly debouncing the buttons if that is not done in the wheel stock.

As much as I love the steering wheel controls, that is why I am not as excited about them. They are great if you stay with the stock HU, but leave unused buttons if you go aftermarket without interfacing them.

Hey Chris6877, its not funny to laugh after I went to that website and I still don't think that's the answer? Now I just feel dumb if BBQ really stands for something else. I don't see how BBQ is an insult as it was implied earlier in that other response.

Whos says there isn't techincal info here?

I was really thinking to myself and you have resured me that i'm a ___ for waiting for an 06 when my car is broken down for about 5 weeks now, and I can go out and work without my car!!!! I'm set on an aftermarket deck and I'm getting the 5495 (it should be out in a couple of days now)

YOur going to get this moved to ICE if you explain anymore?
