Default use the right tool

there is a tool called a panel popper, find one and use it. it will not harm ur door panels, plus there are screws/bolts in the arm rests.

exactly, it just sort of pops off. Start from the bottom, after removing the screws, and pull and lift off of the window.

I would never consider paying for something I could possibly do on my own. But you have to know your limits, I wouldn't try an engine swap or anything but I would certainly do all that I could on my own.

No special tools necessary. One screw in the door cup, one in the handle assembly, and one on the front-most edge near the top. The rest are clips/claws. Pull out from the bottom and then lift up. Boom. Done.

Peace,

Scion keeps talking about using a non-metalic tool to pop off different pieces. I came across a set at this site. Just received them, and they look very sturdy, but I have not used them yet. Here is the site.

Do not pay to have someone take off your door panel, with a philips screwdriver it takes no more than 2 minutes to do.

koalaty2 that looks like a good set, not a bad price either.

I put no, but when it comes to doing installs and mods yourself there are 3 key things to know. 1- having the right tools for the job 2- knowledge on what your doing( prior knowledge or a good writeup) 3. confidence on doing the mod , install yourself. If you do not have these then you could severley damage your vehicle by DIY, so there is a point at which you must stop and think do you want to pay for this to be done. This decision to pay somone is what helps pay my paycheck and others to, and helps others from messing there car's up. But the doors are pretty easy no big worries, do it yourself......

^^I agree, if you don't know what you are doing take it to someone who does. It's not worth paying way more down the road to fix your screw-up
