Default '06 tC wiring harness

I plan on getting an aftermarket Pioneer H/U and was wondering if you even needed a wiring harness.

if so will the will the Scosche TA02B Wiring Harness work with the 06 tC.

also how do wiring harnesses work? do you have to connect each wire separately from the tC electrical/stereo system to the harness? or what?

any tutorials showing this?

I don't know how Pioneer H/Us are wired but my Kenwood came with a plug and bunch of wires (a wire harness). I had to buy a wire harness (Metra brand) which connects to the 2 wire harnesses of the car and the aftermarket's H/U wiring harness. There are about 11 wires running from my H.U to the car (power, constant power, ground, 4 speakers). The H/U and Metra wire harness has everything labeledit took about an hour to take apart the dash, solder all the wires and put it back.
