im trying to choose between the two. im not planning to take it to the track or anything, just a daily driver in houston, so you know the roads.

right now im leaning towards the basics but i need pictures to decide :love:

they both will look pretty much the same. They are both ajustable in height but the SS have an adjustavke damper. Looks will be the same but performance wise the SS will win. If you are looking to do some serious racing or tracking the car pick the tein SS.

they both lower the same amount. it's just that one is damper adjustable and the other is not. here's a pic of my car. i can go about .5" lower in front and .25" in the rear.

They both look exactly the same, have the same spring rates, and height adjustments are also exactly the same. Go with the basics. Ever consider a spring/shocks combo?

not really, but i do have some tein s-techs that arent installed. what shocks would recommend?

only shocks that i am aware of are TRD and KONI yellows. TRD is just slightly stiffer than oem shocks, KONIs are adjustable. I did a quick search and found some here: http://store.yahoo.com/ltbmotorsport/scion.html

since you already have the tein s-tech and dont care much for tracking your car, i think you should stick with the springs. pick up a pair of koni shocks, they make really good shocks. you still end up saving some cash.

and yea i'll do a research and read the reviews on the konis i know they make some good shocks cause i use to have them on my prelude.

The Tein SS-P's set me back about $1200 plus install.

Do you have th edfc? I am guessing your either saving up for it or have it since u got the P with the tiens SS, and was it worth it?

Can you actually tell the dampening difference?

no i don't have the EDFC, i don't really have much need for it. i've been debating saving up for it because it's really cool. also, the dampening unfortunately is somewhat difficult to change manually if you don't have the EDFC installed-- which is a good reason to consider buying it!

what about ride quality? i am debating the same, i want a decent stock feel. I was going to go with the ss just so i can use the edfc. Hows the ride on the basics??

Ride quality is excellent although as stated before expect to feel every bump in the road (mostly just the big ones though). Not bad at all, but I do believe its not all the Tein's fault-- it's that in combination with the 18 inch rims and low profile tires.

I had them installed at Creative Compacts in Fredericksburg. I don't know if their shop is open yet. I can tell you now they have no experience in installing the EDFC because James (shop owner) told me he'd just got one for his tC and was going to be installing it soon to see how it went. Might want to call around on that one.

ss-p with the edfc would be great cuzs if the ride quality isnt right for you just have to adjust it...
