Default PunkInDrublic, I'm dropping my tC (Now with AFTER PICS!!)

Ok, so just about everytime I post a pic of my tC I get ragged on for not dropping it. Here's an example.

Well, that's about to change. I've done researching and thinking and I've decided to give my tC the full TRD suspension treatment.

I ordered the TRD Springs, Shocks/Struts, and rear sway bar from Ken at trdsparks.com who is the best example of a knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and gentleman as you can get.

Since i'm in Ca express shipping would have been around $200 so they're coming via ground so maybe Friday of next week I'll have them but, for sure early the following week I will.

My local dealer will be installing them and we've already negotiated install price including the required alignment. I can't say what it is for obvious reasons.

I decided on the TRDs since I don't want too drastic a drop since I have a steep driveway and this is my daily driver. I've got a slammed 67 Bug that rides like a skateboard, so if I want to be low I'll drive that. Also, with the TRDs I have "one throat to choke" if I'm not satisfied with the install which is another reason to have the dealer do it. Plus, the service dept has always been good to me.

I've made the service advisor and the mechanic, yes, I got to speak with the mechanic who will do the actual work to make sure he knew his stuff, and I made them aware of the issue with the rear passenger side being higher usually than the others and the solution posted here.

So, for completenes's sake since all the other I dropped my tC threads seem to lack decent before and after shots I'm posting the before pics now and I'll post the after pics after, well, after they're installed. I'll be happy with a 1" drop but 1.25" would be ideal.

Weird thread... but I will say I am happy with the trds. They handle nice ( I have a great "test curve" next to my house I did the before and after on ), ride nice for dropped suspension and look nice.

your tapemeasure is upside down. How the hell are you going to refference it when the numbers are randomly measuring in correlation with how far you pull the tape measure out next time you take a picture with the drop? One picture is not going to reference the other...

if you notice its right around 12 inches at the rear quarter and its pulled out to around 36 inches. so once lowered if he pulls the tape measure out to 36 inches he can see where the rear quarter sits. thats not to hard not is it?

Yeah, it's not rocket science.

And it's just good natured teasing since you were the first to call me out on it.

Ok, it's done. Sorry for the delay in getting the pics but, I've been busy. I got a better drop than I thought I'd get with the TRD springs but, I think that's because I had the TRD struts too.
