I understand your frustration. I had to wait about 6 weeks for my xB after putting down $500. I finally received it in June, 2004.

Good things are worth waiting for... patience is a virtue.

Same here. It was a dealer trade that same day so I told the salesman, "It's mine!" He said "OK."... :D

Ditto...I couldn't imagine waiting for something you know you want right NOW. But as stated before, good things are worth the wait, hang in there..

It's cool. I had to wait 6 weeks for mine because they weren't on sale on the east coast yet. It was worth it.

that happened to me too. i went to the dealership, i saw the xB i wanted, took it for a test drive, then we decided that we want to buy, found out that the car was reserve to someone already but there nothing written on the reserve paper, no signature, no date on it,. so we got the xB that day.

Guess I was lucky too... maybe they're more common in California, I dunno. Bought mine off the lot, had some options put in within an hour, and got some extra stuff put on a week later.

Default I Feel Your Pain

BlueOnyxxB I can relate.

2 weeks ago I went to my local dealer, told them I wanted a Camo, Black or Silver XB. Was told it would take 2 weeks. At the end of the two weeks the dealer leaves me a voice mail stating he'll have the VIN in the afternoon. That afternoon he tells me no dealers in the area will trade. I then asked could I place an order for one coming in to California, he said I could, but he could not guarantee I would get the car....needless to say I got my deposit back.

Called around to a few other dealers. Dealer number 2 said they had a Camo XB coming in in 2 days and it was mine if I wanted it....so that afternoon I went in to leave a deposit..turns out dealer #2 was looking at an old inventory sheet, so the Camo one was already sold...but they did have a black XB coming into port...so I slapped my money down once again...another 10 to 12 day wait.

I had the choice of 4 manual and 3 auto RS 2s and any other color I wanted. It was all a matter of selecting the dealership and a non-demo car. I guess San Diego is blessed with lots of xBs. I know I see at least a dozen, if not more every day during my freeway driving.

I'm a bit closer to finally being an XB owner...I have the VIN and the car is suppose to arrive at the dealer no later than the July 25th(which would be cool because I'm on vacation that same week...giving me plenty of time to break-in the car and show it off!!!).

Spotting an XB around Akron Ohio is somewhat of a rare even.
