AEM Cold Air Intact
Hello,
I have a chance to get a really good deal on a AEM CAI and would like to know if there is a noticable performance and sound issues and also was it hard to install.
Thanks
John

I used a phillips head screw driver, a flat head screw driver, a 10mm and 8mm socket wrench, and an alan key (I don't remember exactly what size, sorry), and a pair of plyers. Not really that much. Its really simple. There may actually be a tutorial on this site if yours doesn't come with instructions.
Yeah. I have installed both types, and had to jack the car up on both. I had to take the driver side front wheel off so I could get in behind the fender well. That wasn't hard though, you just have to take the front four or five bolts and fasteners off and pull it back. Real simple.
I really prefer the AEM over Injen. I find it to be a more reliable product. Maybe it is just personal preference though. But I feel like I get better sound out of AEM. Dyno shows power is about the same from application to application.
