My 5-spd arrived at my dealer today... but cant pick it up till monday (b/c of finacing) but there is a 99.9% chance its mine... if i have to sell my body for the downpayment...its mine! :lol:

The funny thing is the numbering plaque is on the passenger-side just above the trash can... well they affixed the plaque upside down! No KIDDING! Its kinda hard no to miss the goof... so here the question.

Since the label is just glued on there should i get the dealer to fix it before I pick it up? Or should I leave it as it is a shrine to the toyota goof in quality?

You guys have helped me see the light! I'm leaving it and I am gonna get the dealer to type something up saying it was produced that way... so people dont think I just made it up.

Financing went through fine... I am looking at $292 a month with zero down... financing 16,088.60 @ 3.49% for 60 months.... any one looking for a good alternative lender with a good rate PM me... its a credit union but the got me an ansewer in 3 hrs.

LOL, like what, maybe 19" ? you know what they say, "the bigger the wheels the smaller the..."

Through heavy consideration of the look and MORE IMPORTANTLY my pocketbook... I decided to go with 17" wheels.

I am not an expert but I think I got a good deal... I paid 850 with tax for wheels and tires at discount tire... including mounting, damage warranty, wheel locks, chrome valve stem caps. Got 12 months no intrest which is cool. They gave me a 45K mile tradlife warranty on the tires... which was the most important... Its wasn't easy finding a H rated tire instead of Z... I am not racing it anytime soon and since I drive alot (yall from texas know what i mean) treadlife was key. They told me a Z rate kumo in the same size would havea life around 20K. Seriously when is any of our scions gonna top 149+ to really use a Z rated... maybe with turbo.

But thinking back I would tried to go with a 215/45 or just a 205/45..... looking at my 205/40 I am thinking damn those puppies look almost too thin.

I am not knocking yall with 18s, 19s, and 20s.... i wish i could afford it... maybe when i hit the lotto. To hell with it If I hit the lotto I am getting pioneer to build me one of those DJ xB's in the other post.

May I ask what size rims you ordered and tire size ....... That price is not bad at all.

Discount tire actually gave me a 40 credit per tire for my stock goodyear 185/60 r15's.... the name of the rim is MB motoring #272 (17X7; 4X100 bolt pattern)... tires are Nanking 205/40/R17.

MB motoring is the house brand wheel of discount tires. They actually sell a polished aluminum and a painted siler set of the same wheels with the same tires that I could got for 420... I wanted to go that route, but everyone in the region was out of the wheels and the manufracturer they use was backordered. Chrome seems to flashy... and well I was getting hellova stares before, now I am REALLY attracting attention.

Had an 80 yr old lady in a buick give me the "Okay" sign on the way to downtown houston last wednesday.
