Default Did you really say that?

Ok so my good buddie and I went to Micky-D's for dinner last night and this one kid I went to art college with has worked there forever. I figured he would be working and of course he was. Anyways we make our order and the guy on the intercom was allready being rude so I figured it was him. So we pull up to the first window in my new RS2.0 and I say, "Hey Rich (not his real name) hows it goin." ( trying to be nice cause hes work'n at a ____ty place and payed alot of money to go to school and get a art degree and he still works there. ) The first thing he said was,"Hey Tim, scions suck." I couldn't say anything cause it was like in a weird shock that this Mcdonalds guy is insulting my car and I just wanted to laugh. So I just looked at him then and then he said, " My Ranger could so kick your cars a$$." With a smile I said, " Well its an xB not really ment for racing its just a fun car I like to ..... " then he cuts me off and says well it sucks and my ranger could totally kick its a$$." I just looked at him did't want to be a dick and tell him how his job sucks and why would I care if his ranger could kick my cars a$$ I was trying to be nice and this guy just bashed my car. So I just asked him how much did i owe him and drove on. Thought it was a funny story. Im still shocked.

I'm still amazed at how many people just seem to diss these cars!

I like to tell people that you either get it or you don't.

"sorry, I don't waste my time racing McRangers. By the way, you forgot to ask me if I wanted fries with that."

is what i would have said...

There was some joker in a Corolla last night with a TRD emblem on the trunk and a NASCAR banner across the back window driving like a tool. Making tons of lane changes, cutting people off to slip in front only to be pinched off, over-emphasizing every turn of the wheel like you'd see in a NASCAR race... IN THE MOVIES! He made 20 lane changes to my 2 and we were still side by side. As he catches up to my window , he gives me the waffling hand sign, like "decent" or "so-so". I'm like I'm right with you BUT I didn't risk anyone's life! FOOL! Plus, it's a freakin TRD Corolla, get a grip on reality...

hehehe, a Ranger. Jealous much?

Haters!!! I had a similar experience Saturday night.

I live in base housing. So, I have to go through a guarded gate. The Marine Corps. police guard it. Anyway, I was going through and he waved me in. But, right as I was about to pass him he told me to stop real quick. I was thinking oh great what did I do. Well, he comes up to my window and says, "I don't mean to offend you but, why would you buy this thing? I think they are so ugly." I said, "well, I think they are cute and different. And I like to be different." And then he said, "I just had to say something. I have just never liked these things." I felt like saying did you really have to stop someone just to let them know that you think their car is ugly? I thought it was rude and unprofessional of him. Since he was on post.

I think it was like a week after I had gotten my car. Some kid was walking home from a local Hi school and shouts out "Your car is Ugly!"
I stopped, smiled at the group of kids and asked.
"Wheres your car?"

"Dont have one.."

"Oh.. okay.. " and drove off laughing.

It is amazing how strong people feel about this vehicle. If someone has the ***** to come up to a complete stranger and tell them there car is ugly then they should expect a rough response. I would not have been as kind as the other post I just read. I think I would be absolutely as ignorant as the ___ hole who just approached me.

It seems to me that some people buy the xb because they love the way it looks, some buy it because they love that most people think its ugly, and some buy it and could care less what it looks like, they just love the value they are getting...

I happen to love the styling of the xb and I still think that there is not a better value out there in the small car category.

Plus I think it's fun attracting a bunch of comments from people whe can't resist the temptation to tell me how ugly and or cool the xb is.
