Default Bad sales guy

My brother was all pumped up to get his PG XA. He even checked with me first to make sure it was okay for him to get an XA, since i already had one. I, of course, was all about it.

He gets to the dealership. the guy tells him that he is approved to get it, they build it, the guy says he will have his car in 4 days.

My brother is pumped. He calls me every day so excited.

He calls today to see if it came in. The guys tells him that is would not be there for a week now. But he does want my bother to come in to finalize everything. He goes there today. The guy tells him that he isn't able to get the car. He made a mistake by approving him for the loan.

My brother is crushed.

Just wondering if anyone had a bad experience with their dealer.

My guy was amazing. Wish my brother had better luck.

If your brother doesn't qualify for a loan, that's something they should have been able to tell him right away. Even with a weekend or holiday thrown in there it shouldn't have taken more than one or two days tops. Most people will know in under an hour. I hate incompetent sales people. It seems like it's getting more and more prevalent too. I can't tell you how many times I walk into a store to buy something and I know 10X more about the product than the sales person. Grrrrr...okay, I feel better now. I hope it works out for your brother.

Cherry Hill Toyota Scion owned I have to contact damian about an issue with this scratch that my co-worker found on my trunk lid makes me sad but other than that it was sweet and they are always friendly and their promises seem to be true and a credit check took all of 5 minutes!

I am pretty sure that the sales guy did a credit check on my brother before telling him he could but it the first time. But i supose he messed something up. I have no idea how you would be able to do that when looking up a persons name. My last name isn't exatly common.

many times the salesguy isn't the one who handles the finances. The F&I guys at the dealership sound like they suck pretty bad.

Look at it this way though...the sales guy doesn't get paid not to sell cars. No xA, no $ for him. He's probably just as mad as your brother.

my sales guy was an idiot...but he was the only one at the dealership that was certified to sell them at the time...i go in there and the guy wont talk to me because i was 19 at the time...but yet i was driving a 2001 Explorer Limited, so i start lookin at the xA, and the xB, then i start talking to another salesman who i thought would help me out, that tanked, he acted like i couldnt afford it, so i get a little mad, and tell him flat out that he is an _______ and that he just screwed a sale up miserably, he made the comment about your too young to afford this car...i start laughing and go man are you wrong. He watches me hop in my Explorer and drive off, about 2 weeks later i go back up there because i was dead set on an xA, and found out that another guy could sell them...he was a good guy, and the other guy came up to me when i was signing the papers and tried to claim half of the sale...he tried to tell his manager that he had taken me on a test drive. I said right then, no he didnt, that a$$hole wouldnt even talk to me like a person, yet alone let me drive it...well after signing the papers, i gave the guy the finger and drove off, and evertime i go into the dealership to get service done he wont say a word to me...Screw all the salesman that dont know anything about the cars, and wont let the target audience even get in them...Scion should have 18-24 year olds selling them...and if anyone knows of a dealership that needs a salesman for Scion or Toyota...hit me up im game to relocate anywhere...Hope no one has as bad of an experience as i did

Man, this is all kinds of screwed up. I agree with you, they should have people who are all about Scions selling them.

Glad to see you got your ride!

Why would you have a heart set on a tC and "SETTLE" for an xA... If the guy tries to talk you out of what you want and there is such a difference between the two, then try to get approved somewhere else.

When I got my xA, the finance guy was going thru all the paperwork and junk. When he was done he put all the the stuff up in a file, and said "Alrighty, your good to go, any questions or anything?" "yeah, who do we give the money to?" "....that'd be me"
and he got all the stuff out again. Totally forgot
