I'm all for getting together on a Saturday morning for some JAVA. Just let me know the time and place. Maybe on alternate Saturdays we could meet briefly in Beaverton and cruz up to Vancouver. I think some have done this earlier.

Well, I for one am up for it. How far down do you guys want to go? There is a great one in Hazel Dell at the Steakburger, but that is almost to Vancouver.

Us southerners will kick it around this Saturday. Maybe we do our little meet n greet and then those who want can cruise north for Mini-golf challenge.

Next meet is August 6th same place, same time.

I haven't heard any of them speak up lately but their was a few people who said that Beaverton was too far. I know that Zack (an SE member) moved to hazel dell and asked that we move the location a little closer toward Vancouver. Maybe we could meet at the village inn and cruise over to Jantzen beach somewhere?

That sounds good to me..... Should we meet at 9:15, stay till 9:30 then head over to Janten beach? There is a shari's or a denny's, other than that, I'm not sure where to go....

There is a fantastic weekend brunch at the Columbia river doubletree on the Vancouver side. It used to be call "the inn at the Quey(sp)". Might be fun, the view is nice and they can accomodate a large table of people. Lets talk more this weekend. We will be near there at portland meadows so we can scout a little.

I'm not entirely sure my financial planner(Krista) will allow me to eat "brunch" at the doubletree....

The meet and greet is definately this Saturday around 10 am. We need help picking a place in or around Vancouver to give you northside guys a chance to meet up. Some of us out on the west side will meet up at the Village Inn on Canyon at 9:30 am to cruise over to Vancouver location together.

Hope you can make it KalEL. How are the repairs coming?

Well The cars fixed, just havnt been able to get the grill I wnat yet, so I can put the S back on the front, Chnged the Neons to seven color LEDs. I think a good place to meet is over by the Costco in Vancouver off of Padden Parkway west. Across the street is a Krispe Kreme and or there is a new Subway and Starbucks as well, other food posibilites are the Wendys or Costco Dogs, Every one loves costco dogs. Let me know what you think.

I work up in Vancouver, have a huge parking lot we could use to take some photos... which I would like...

Elmers is right next door.... My office and elmers are right near the intersection of SR500 and Andresen.

How's that sound? It's a bit north, but could help the Vancouver's and WA's out a bit this time at least.... PLUS..... It's fast and REALLY easy to get to... all roads are 55+.

If you are going together, that makes it nice, cause you only got to drive the freeways the whole way and not worry about losing people at lights.

I like that idea. Elmer's is a good breakfast and should be able to accomodate the size of our group.

Finally decided on how to spend the Certificate. I'll be getting the OEM ground kit and Lip spoiler, plus a few lil' additions. My new Megan Header came in, plus I have the new o2 Sim to try to get to work, and the Umnitza Angels to put on... so next week looks busy.... Plus I want to do this!

Hmmm, working another double shift today so I won't be making the drive down this weekend, again, grrrrrr. Oh well, have to pay for vacation sooner or later, lol.

The first Saturday in September is Labor day weekend. I believe I will be around so I can meet at the vancouver location if others will still be up for it. If everyone is out of town or something then we could postpone.

The second Saturday (10th) I will be out at the "Rod run to end of the world" in Long Beach Wa. Anyone who wants to come out there let me know. I will have a house up near the beach barrons club house. Peeps could campout or whatever.

hmm, beach party, sounds fun but I am saving up for my next trip, Yellowstone, leave on the 18th of Sept. for a week so I have to watch my coins til then.

We are supposed to be going to Vallejo for the Marine World Event, but after spending most of our cash in Hawaii, we may just be staying at home... so we may see you at the next event...

We went to Kauai, although we did spend about 9 hours in the Honolulu airport.

glad you two made it back safe, hoping to make the 17th gtg, was thinking about attending the bbq that is going on that same day up in redmond, we'll see, got daughters soccer schedule, may not have time for the bbq, they are suppose to change her game that day, so depends on when they plan on playing or even if they play that day. Howdy all, new to this forum. Just picked up my xB a couple weeks ago and have been ordering and installing stuff as fast as I can.

I'm wondering how the turn out has been with this group? I tried this with the Lexus group out of Portland with really lame results. I'm south of Corvallis and have never minded the drive for a good time. Let me know how many folks are planning on showing the 17th and I'll work my magic here for a morning drive to the Rose City.

New person alert! I wasn't planning to do anything like this, but as I was browsing the DC Power website I stumbled upon a review on the new headers they made for the TC and the guy giving the review belongs to this forum so I thought of joining just to see how many Scion owners are up here in Oregon mainly northern bordering washington and maybe hopefully make some cool buddies.

I have a Scion tC 05' -Black Sand Pearl

Modifications: Minor or very little :\ (not rich)

-Lights: Daylights, low beam, and the personal lights.
-K&N CAI
-Fog lights from the manufacturers (WHICH I TOTALLY REGRET! If you're thinking about getting some go AFTER MARKET!).
-TRD Sports Exhaust

Future Mods: Will most likely be header replacement and overall car handling (I want to be able to take the junction at HWY 26 going to HWY 217 S pretty fast, it calls for 30 MPH I belive, I can take it at 45-50, I want to see if I can push it to 60 :D)

btw your saturday meetings sounds fun maybe one day I can join all of you.

I have my daughter's soccer game tomorrow. I am going to try to get to Village Inn as well. Hope to see everyone there.

I am on vacation next week so I will put the finishing touches on my Astoria plan when I return.

I was thinking Sunday the 16th? Just a nice cruise from Beaverton to Astoria over the old fishback highway. Its a beautiful drive very popular with the motorcycle crowd because of the winding wooded roads. It takes us right by the Elk preserves with lots of viewing stops to see these magnificent creatures in the wild. I was thinking we could do a photo op up by the column (a shot of the cars from the top might be cool) then lunch and cruise home.

Any thoughts?

It seems easier then you coming all the way out here then back into town, then out to Vancouver.

Take the Jantzen beach exit. Burger King is right there.
We can get back on right there and head out to Elmer's.
Around 9:15, leave BK at 9:45 at the latest.

Okay, First trip to Elmer's in 2006! I will stop and wait at the Safeway parking lot just off the Jantzen Beach exit at 9:30 am. I know Kelly said BK but you can't see the freeway ramp from there. I should be visible just as you come down the ramp in the right lane. When singleshot arrives we will cruise on up to Elmer's. I am hoping to discuss ideas for events in the coming year so everyone try and make it.
