View Full Version : Wilwood Installed!!
dsidescion 03-13-2004, 04:13 AM :D WOW!! What a difference. I now have to be careful when stopping. Had to stop fast on the way home tonight and when people say stopping on a dime, this box now stops the moment it touches the dime! Amazing. Wilwood said the rear will be ready around June or July with the rear e-brake and I can't wait.[/img]

How did the bleeding of the brakes go? Hope it was a snap. 8) But now I can't see youir swaybar!
DJ_X_Trodinaire 03-13-2004, 01:41 PM did your wheel get pushed out?
if so how much was it pushed out?
dsidescion 03-13-2004, 02:47 PM The whole install took about 1 1/2 hours. Even someone who doesnt know how to do it would only that about 2-2 1/2 hours. It is the easiest bolt on ever! The bleeding of the brake lines took the longest, about half an hour. It doesn't look like the wheel moved out. If it did, it's very little. I highly recommend these brakes and cannot wait for the rears to come out. :D
scionracerxb 03-13-2004, 03:33 PM HOW MUCH?
dsidescion 03-13-2004, 04:15 PM I'll get the cost when I get to work and let you guys know
its_ikon 03-13-2004, 11:45 PM that looks great. now you need a turbo to have a reason to stop quick.

Why did the bleeding take so long? I just saw a LAVA xB number 80 with the willwood set-up too. He had the 18 size brakes. 8)

Yea i bet i rember talking to Robert (owns blue xa with kenstyle kit and blue xb )
he told me that they have saved his a$$ more than once both cars have front and rear
i cant wait till kit comes out
TYRE_BOX 03-14-2004, 04:40 AM Yeah the willwood kits is great a little noisey but stops wonderful. The hot lava in tracy was mine just put the stuff on this morning the loog great behing the 19 inchmotegi's
dsidescion 03-14-2004, 04:49 AM :D The only reason for the long bleed time was it really didn't feel right. It now feels TIGHT like we like it!!! :D :D Had to stop quick on the freeway and I felt as though I would go through the front window it stopped so fast! The drilled and slotted wholesales for $1201 and the flat ones are $1021. The rears I didn't even check cuz no e-brake so I'll let you know when they release it with the e-brake. I'm out of them at the shop but they are a day or less away to get cuz Wilwood keeps them in stock. All the calipers are black but if someone wants another color, I can ask them. They did mine in red! :D I think the only drawback to having the brakes on it is that I can't see the Hotchkis sway bar as good anymore.

That thing was sick, really nice to have met you Ross! I hope you will join us at the next meet we have! :D I am now going to have to save up some money to get these bueatiful brakes!
jackmott 03-15-2004, 03:25 PM anybody done a 60-0mph comparison between a car with stock brakes vs the willwood, on the same tires?
I bet its not much diffferent.
chillenn310 03-15-2004, 04:10 PM whoa.. thats pretty dope. can't wait to see the rear kit n e-brake kit.
