I need help in deciding what to do in order to repaint my car. I'll briefly explain why

So to sum it up, I the Asian Driver( Vietnamese/Chinese ) was playing my Nintendo DS while driving my Scion Tc and was being careless and bumped into a 2005 Convertible Corvette. Two weeks later, I was leaving KFC after picking up lunch and a african american kid leaving KFC scraped the side of my car when he left KFC on his bike. *sigh* Don't think I'm racist , just telling you the big COINCIDENCE .

I was wondering, should I claim it under Insurance or should I repaint those sections of the car?

Some people say claim vandalization and key my whole car(which is pretty F'ed up) or just repaint it for a few thousand dollars.

the problem with playing the DS while your driving isnt you dying or crashing horribly
that part would be justified for you stupidity
its the fact that you could hurt someone else that has nothing to do with it
i just saw some a$$face kill some kid that was driving because he was talkin on not 1 but 2 cell phones... or pda type thing

I'm not kidding and I learned from that experience. There was traffic on the freeway, 5 mph on the 5 South while I was going home from work. So I felt it was safe, and the Corvette in front of me suddenly broke. That's how it happened, the kid at KFC, she was just some careless punk who ran into my car while it was in PARK.

Cause I thought it was going nowhere from the start.

 

Family cooks Chinese or Vietnamese at home, so when I go out for lunch or dinner. I feel adventurous and eat what I would never eat at home. So that's why I took a trip to KFC and had a delicious meal and a ugly scratch. Racism isn't a fact, it's hilariously accurate.

yea, as soon as i can get my hand on the nakiworld PSP dock that will go on my car's dash. i'm waiting on the 06 model just because of the auxilary input on the stereo. listen to mp3s on my PSP and watch videos on the screen on my lunch breaks. the nakiworld dock has a wireless remote for it to go through tracks and movie chapters.

 

It's also shown that Asians are often the worst drivers on the road.

Guess that's also hilariously accurate here too.

Okay, back on subject... What do you guys suggest, you guys know the story but I need a conclusion. Should I claim vandalism and do the 500 deduct or should I pay the practically 2,000 out of my pocket? Insurance is basically like financing with HUGE interest or just pay the 2,000 up front?

I'm not going to argue that you called me dumb, and it was scraped. I'm paying $300 for the Vette's bumper and I just waxed mine off, you can only see it if I point it out to you. The scratch from the Kid at KFC is a different story, I have to repaint a chunk of my car 'cause of that kid. My bumper is fine, I'll repaint it too once I DECIDE which to do.

DS is a waste of money. As for driving while playing REAL smart, tell your asian parents what really happen when u got into your accident and they would whoop your @ss.

 

Nice, I may sound young and all but I act like a kid. I moved out and currently manage at "The Escrow Factory" in Irvine, CA and do home loans and so on. So money isn't the big deal, video games and so on are temporary fun so big deal if I wasted 150 on games. I'm just wondering what to do 'bout the Paint Job on my car.
