apexjr 07-19-2005, 08:46 PM Good list, what is almost more important is the spring rate in pounds for each of them.... anyone that has the specs on them, send them up!
clash_city_rocker 07-19-2005, 08:54 PM very true... i know tanabe nf210 is 3.0/4.1 and df210 is 3.4/4.3.... not sure about the others though
teksno 07-19-2005, 09:12 PM and here i thought it was some noob asking for a list... good show my good man...good show indeed...
BrEaK_AwaY 07-19-2005, 11:22 PM you B&G Suspension number is wrong. those spings arent released yet (yes i know it says that on the site). But i am sponsored by them and have their springs. The springs are actually designed for a celica. the drop would be about 2" all around. I have yet to install them, but will be soon.
on the subject, do you think i would rub with them installed when i have 19"x8.5" wheels (225/35/ZR19 Tires)?
L4rry_B1rd 07-20-2005, 02:03 AM what are the spring rates for our stock springs?
clash_city_rocker 07-20-2005, 03:42 AM don't know, break_away.. i'm still new to lowering springs too... but i think i read a post somewhere of someone that had goldlines, which are about 2", with 19's and he said they rubbed a little

rubbing when hitting a bump? or when turning?
clash_city_rocker 07-20-2005, 01:27 PM break_away, i couldn't find the post but I came across a post by BlueBox who has goldlines with 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears and says it "rides very comfortable"... you may wanna talk to him
BrEaK_AwaY 07-20-2005, 01:38 PM is that on a tc or xb? ill have to try to find him. and other info you could give me would be great!

Des, please create up a new topic for this post as it could take a lot to explain properly and is way off topic. Google it too, it will give you a good explaination as well.
This is a great thread, let's keep it up to date, stickied, and kept on track.
clash_city_rocker 07-20-2005, 08:28 PM that was on a tc... http://www.scionlife.com/?BlueBox is his profile...
by the way, anyone know anything about the eibach sportlines? are they out? anyone running on em yet?
L4rry_B1rd 07-21-2005, 03:15 AM Yo reag, you got anymore of those spring rates handy, like for other springs on the market. They definitely put ride quality in perspective as far as the stock vs. TRD. I thought the TRD's might have been to rough for me, but since the spring rate is so similar to stock, I think I might be able to put them on even with the horrible streets in Boston.

You might want to look into some progressive rate springs. My H&R are suppose to be an average of 20% stiffer spring rate. At normal driving the springs feel about the same as stock but at turns you can definetly notice the stiffer rate. This is good because the springs are stiff when you need it and soft when you dont. However, if you are building an autocross setup you want an linear rate spring because it is stiff at all times. Progressive rate springs will not control body roll as well as linear rate springs because it is designed to forgive to a certain degree(Thats why i got sways bars). Just think of doing a tight chicane section, you do not want the springs to forgive and create body roll.
L4rry_B1rd 07-21-2005, 09:38 PM i had the H&R sports on my old accord. they were way to stiff for driving in Boston, at least for my preference. i think ill most likely end up going TRD because the stiffness most closely matches with stock... unless i can get my friend to order me some custom springs through his dads racing team.
TwztedtC 07-22-2005, 07:24 PM For anyone looking for springs I really suggest the Tein S-Techs. They ride as good or better than the factory springs. The stance on the car is awesome compared to most.
PghtC 07-23-2005, 02:11 PM very true... i know tanabe nf210 is 3.0/4.1 and df210 is 3.4/4.3.... not sure about the others though
How does 3.0/4.1 compare to the numbers given here?
Front (N/mm)
Stock 25.5
TRD 29.8
Tein 35.3
Goldline 35.8
Rear (N/mm)
Stock 45
TRD 57
Tein 58.8
Goldline 55.1
We should really try to make all the numbers on the same scale so you can actually compare them. Of course I will probably end up going with TRD since they are so close to stock. I do so love the smooth stock ride...I had a lowered car before that was far from stock. I had enough of that.

Just move one decimal point over to the left on my numbers
L4rry_B1rd 07-24-2005, 05:36 AM so the nf210's are softer in the back than stock? thats quite interesting seeing as the drop is 1.7"
FlintM05tc 07-25-2005, 11:14 PM The Eibach Pro also has a 1.4/1.4
I know this because I have just purchased them.

actually its 1.2 when i asked eibach.
most vendors list them as 1.4 for some reason
PghtC 07-26-2005, 04:38 PM Yeah, moving the decimal point made sense until I noticed it was softer than stock in the rear. How does that work? Just doesn't make sense to me.
make_shift 07-26-2005, 11:55 PM Anyone have any info on JIC COs? They have Celica, xA and xB setups but no tC applications...a buddy of mine is sponsored by them (an EVO) for autox and he loves'em.
BrEaK_AwaY 07-27-2005, 12:15 AM celica springs will work for a tc (new celica), my b&g springs are made for a celica, but b&g sells them for the tc now, untill they get springs made for the tc (less of a drop)

I want COs b/c I don't want a big drop (.5-1" max)..so I'l wait and see what JICs comes oout with in the coming months.
L4rry_B1rd 07-27-2005, 04:34 AM If you check out the Tein H Techs for a 2000+ Celica, the drop is only .8", .8". If Celica springs do indeed fit a tC, these are the springs I will be going with.
TcLover05 08-03-2005, 04:13 PM Can somone compile dropped pictures for each of the springs ?
BrEaK_AwaY 08-03-2005, 04:17 PM Larry, the drop will be more on a tc than it will on a celica
L4rry_B1rd 08-04-2005, 01:16 AM Larry, the drop will be more on a tc than it will on a celica
I read your response in the other thread, I posted this a few days before that thread, but yeah... prob wont go with the Celica springs anyhow because as someone pointed out in the other thread, the springs are designed for a car 300 pounds lighter. Thats probably why the spring rates for the Celica springs are so soft compared to stock tC.
BrEaK_AwaY 08-04-2005, 01:18 AM yeah, i just wanted to repost it here cause i saw this thread. np though
