Just got my box back from the shop, with my new ACT clutch feels great. Heavier than stock but not to heavy so you can still get stuck in traffic and still use your left leg to walk after driving. Just waiting for the clutch seat itself ,also I need to baby it for the first 500 miles so not to glaze the organic clutch face.

Only thing left to do is go to the 1/4 mile drag strip for some test+ tune workouts. Sharpen my r/t times and figure out my shift points and my rpm lanuch off the line ,also play around with my tire psi on my g force drag radials. 12-15 psi will be my starting point this will put me in the ball park. Next back to the local 1/8 mile track and beat on some of my friends.

If you need a clutch for your s/c or turbo x/b check out this set up 40% more clamping force and is rated up to 233 ft pounds of torque. :silly:

i had the ACT HD00 in my turbocharged civic. The stock setup was slipping at full boost over 5000rpms.

The clutch felt great! Is yours letting out right at the floor??

I would suggest being EXTRA EXTRA careful on it the first 50 miles. Glaze it, and the guys at the shop are gonna have a fun time doing it all over again. :P

sounds awesome. i see you have a lot of mods. id love to see what numbers you put out on the 8th mile. sounds interesting. keep us updated

Thats the first thing I noticed, as soon as I let it out the clutch it starts to engage.
AWESOME! As far as axles go the drag radials will give me a little tire spin out of the hole so I wont be breaking any cv joints.
Plus Iam not putting out that much power, unless you are racing your car every weekend and are running slicks then breakage becomes a problem. :clap:

12-15 psi? damn! are you running lower compression pistons or race gas? Seems like most guys are only running like 6 or so. post a dyno run if you can, you should be able to put more down than someone with a stock clutch. As for busting up axles, I always buy rebuilt ones from autozone or similar store (in WA I used Shucks). usually they're cheap ($90-120)

I was talking about my tire psi 12-15 not blower psi. My blitz s/c is a stock 6 psi. I guess you were confused?

5000RPM launches every weekend at the drag strip in my ol' 02 civic ex coupe (ball bearing T25 @ 11lbs of boost).

As for busting up axles, I always buy rebuilt ones from autozone or similar store (in WA I used Shucks). usually they're cheap ($90-120)
It gets alot more expensive when you shatter one and strip out the splines on the input shafts in the transmission.

oops.... What size tires/wheels fit the xB? (drag tires)? I've looked at the nitto drag radials, but I'm still running stock so it would be overkill.

Iam running a 15x7 rim with a 205 50 15 bFgoodrich gforce drag radial. They also have a 225 50 15 tire and a 205 40 17 tire as well. you can run the 205 50 15 on the stock steel wheels.
As long as your rim with is 5 1/2 to 71/2. The tire is shorter by .73 inches so you will gain a little gear ratio which should help you in the 1/8 mile.
