iPod question
I tried searching and couldn't find a good answer to this:
I am going to be using a DF-TOY adapter to wire my iPod into my 2005 tC stereo. Obviously I'll need a cord that will run from the normal audio outputs on the adapter to a headphone jack. My question is: does someone make a cord that will go from that to the jack on the BOTTOM of the iPod so that it'll send the sound to the stereo and charge the iPod at the same time? If so, where can I find it and how much?

Ok there are 2 options for you. Belkin makes an car adapter that has a line out jack on the cigarette plug. And Sik makes the IMP which has a seperate wire running off the ipod plug.
The belkin is a cleaner look IMP plus it also has an amp with volume control built in. The Sik IMP is clunk and not as clean IMO. It also does not have an amp and is pure line-out. Both can be had for about 30 dollars.
Using the jack on the bottom of the ipod is better then the top as it's the unaltered line-out and is "cleaner".
I had an idea of installing another outlet inside the console under the cup holders so i could have the belkin plug hidden and the ipod plug coming out of the e-brake hole. but do it how you want.

When i Install the Aux Input in to any car for a i pord we take the belkin cord apart and solder wires to the input of the circuit board inside that way you can hide the whole plug behind the dash then run the end for ipod out to whereever you want
How about Dension. I install tons of these, and it has just what you are looking for.

$150 will get you a cradle to hold the Ipod, connector to charge the ipod, and it has RCAs coming off of it so you can connect it to your Aux in.
